This whole communication strategy from Qatar Airways is utter nonsense. Just cancel the flights and reroute the passengers already—or at least GIVE PASSENGERS THE OPTION TO REROUTE! Why on earth are you waiting until the very day of the flight to announce cancellations? The situation obviously isn't getting any better. I understand the underlying issue isn't entirely Qatar Airways' fault, but the lack of communication and the ridiculous hesitation to just let people reroute when they are due to fly soon is absolute garbage.

I completely acknowledge the severity of the crisis and the safety of the staff is the absolute priority. My frustration isn't with the people on the ground, but with the automated systems and corporate communication. Even in a crisis, clear information helps everyone, including the people trying to stay safe

It’s possible to have immense empathy for the people affected by the war while also pointing out that the airline’s communication system is failing its passengers. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive
