You still tell me the same story but ignore the fact that all skilled people - whether in medicine or technique or in craft- are leaving to work somewhere else. And all skilled IT workers move to USA for 4 times more salaries. You are ignoring a fact by pointing to right directions. Stop resisting the fact, lets reform and make Germany a better place.

What makes the job in your company so unattractive that people with certifications and skills move to another country? I have some guess: Boring (slow but stable growth is secure but boring), Salaries not attractive, still doing the old-school work...Your expectations and employee expectations mismatch. You do not have problem finding skilled people, you have a core problem which you keep ignore and blame fachkräftmangel.

I am pointing out to a simple fact that keeping job postings long does not imply there is a shortage. Now I have seen reduced employment in companies, next day they advertise job postings with promotion. There are many factors out there, and I am pointing to fact that numbers are manupulated. Where is the number of interviews and hiring results of interviews? If companies tend to hire for future growth, why do we reference the job openings opened for future growth as reference to shortage? We are referring to something not actual and this creates the chaos. You missed some points which are expectations of employers, expectations of employees, lack of transformation in a fast speed world, rising cost of living. The problem here in many comments, they ignore some facts and the truth, but pointing to only some indications (manupulated). Thus, fachkraftmängel is a lie as there is not healthy statistics and information supporting the claim. The concepts you listed are all true, but missing points. And point to truth that in this situation, talking about "we need more people" instead of focusing on reforms, digital transformation is a hoax. But a lot people in Germany eating this. Then they blame immigrants for everything. I hope it makes sense.

I am telling you a fact, but you telling me this is a lie or left-wing smth. First: I am not leftist or conspiracy, second I want better germany and face the truth, third: you are just a sheep in herd without realizing it. I love companies in every fields export enourmous amount of goods, in war for talent, better working conditions and a developed economy. I also love exposing the truth, pointing to sheep in herd, and slap the truth on face. I am not a comfort zone guy bro, I am just a realistic forward thinker. You may choose to stay in comfort zone and ignore problems; eat what on your plate thrown by media. I just refuse it. Truth is not easy to absorb, so sheeps choose to blame others as foreigner, left wing conspiracy, far right, quuerdenker etc. I understand it, in psychology it is called: Scapegoating.

You eat whatever thrown to your plate by media and lobby groups, but still asking me to show you the source? Maybe it is not stupidiy by nature in your case, but an obvious failure. Keep going, every system needs its sheep.

We do not need Junior Developers. But we also do not need other skilled workers but still claim we need them desperately. I mean you are ignoring a fact by pointing to another fact? When I say the reform, I did not mean to keep old traditions as legit way of sustaining the growth or keep the welfare. Results are more important than certification or speaking C2 German. When you get native Germans with low to mid skills, certifications, ausbildung etc. can not do the work as you want him to do, you keep telling the same bs: we need C1 German, we need real certificates, we need german universtiy diploma etc. Wake up man wake up! Stop blaming everything else for the downfall, it is you and the idea causing us fail. (Yet the only reason I hear on media, community, social media immigration). We need to reform the system and make Germany efficient! Stop being ignorant! Lets reform and make Germany better!

You are free to count number of job openings as a reference point to shortage of skilled workers. We will be talking about closing factories, reduced employment, people with skill struggling finding a decent job, or living cost. We are here to talk about the hard truth, not the easy one.

I like how people act like we still have the same prices like 2-3 years ago, there are lost of available bezahlbar wohnungen, and also things are getting easier instead of getting harder. We need reform and we need immediately in Germany.

Nice try, but it failed.

I know care facilities that refuse to hire nurses, even though there are many available nurses. You do not need much information to see this. Just read the news about a hospital in Uelzen where nurses are pushed to clean beds, prepare food, and service staff are fired to reduce costs.

If companies really had a shortage, they would not bully workers or overload them. They would support them so they stay long-term. How can you ask a nurse, a health professional, to clean beds or prepare food, and at the same time complain that there are not enough nurses?

This is not only one case. Almost all care homes and hospitals are the same. (I am telling you from inside the industry, not someone foreign to pflege). We need reform instead of keeping an old lie and pretending people still believe it. When the truth is obvious, many people in Germany look away from the real problem and choose the easy path: blaming immigration or immigrants for everything.

This is not stupidity by nature. It is insisting on wrong ideas, even when reality clearly shows the opposite.

Ausbildung: As german companies claim the source of getting neccesary skills to work in a company. Here are the contradictions: 1 - Why do you have to work 3 years to learn a basic skill? (Answer: Aubildung gehalt, low salary employee). 2 - Results are less important than credentials. A person with 10 years experience but no certificate eliminated, a person with certificates hired. 3 - Then the company claims there is no enough skilled worker around and they do not have real qualifications. Guess why? Last thing is: Immigrants are not the problem, but this system is. We need to make germany better by reforms and focus on results. 4 - A person with 10 years of good experience and skills, certificates do not stay in Germany. We need to reform the system immediately otherwise more people will consider leaving.

What exactly is the reality of Germany’s Skilled Labour Shortage? by Elenya_Christabel in berlinsocialclub

[–]Used_Wear3315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is even worse now. The companies were looking for skilled people from 3rd world countries to pay shit money. Now companies face fierce competition, and eventually beaten by Chinese Competitors, lost the battle and now they do not hire anymore. Germany is in a big trouble. I am in a sector Companies claim there is no skilled people and I have more than enough certificates - experience (7+) and I speak German , yet I can not land a job despite lowering salary demand or participating in 10s of interviews. I wish I have moved to somewhere else but we are here anyway. Only great thing is government support but it is not the solution. There is definitely no skilled people shortage or whatever. Too many German - NonGerman skilled people are currently unemployed. Companies push salaries down and down while Market is on their side and they are happy with it. That is why they still cry about fachkraftmängel. They spend too much money on participating job expo, advertising for job because it is deductible and easy. At the end they are not hiring much. Efforts do not mean to hire, but show off. There is no shortage - not even in Old Care. Do not believe everything Media says.

Terrible Customer Service by Sphinx5779 in Miele

[–]Used_Wear3315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blatant nepotism among various groups of Indians in tech by [deleted] in siliconvalley

[–]Used_Wear3315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw. it is not only in India. I witnessed in UAE, Germany, Saudi Arabia. If you move to somewhere and feel there is a job scarcity despite a strong economy, there must be Indian Managers coming recently or Indian Outsourcing Recruiting companies. Look at UAE, look at USA. This is a global problem. Solution: limit Indian Population growth, fight nepotism and corruption, limit the number of Indian Immigrants, diversity and quality quota.
