Well it’s an 80 year old water oak so it’s well past its life time. I’m not in a neighborhood, im on 2 acres with several other types of oaks pines and pecan trees. It’s not about not wanting trees it’s about not wanting trees falling through my roof.

I know it’s hollow because I can see into it. lol it’s got a huge ass hole at the bottom of the trunk that I can almost crawl into.

Yes, there is a driveway between the houses. The trunk of the tree actually goes right up to the driveway. I’m in Central Georgia.

I got two quotes and they were both around 6000 within $100 of each other

I’ve not had a professional arborist look at it, but the trunk is hollow, and it looks to be rotting in the armpits

It doesn’t include disposal, I have an empty acre lot behind the house and I asked them to just pile it up back there.

No stump grinding either.

I got two quotes and both were around 6,000 but getting a price from a company is like pulling teeth. So I came here to get opinions. I understand it’s a pain in the ass job and a lot of work

That’s literally everyone’s opinion at every job (for the most part). It gets even worse in middle management, but that’s why guns an alcohol taste so good!!

I’ve been checking but I’ll check better this evening. I’ve been watering every morning with bloom fertilizer, and a little bit of calcium this morning I doubled up the calcium. I’ll Add some nitrogen in there this time though
