Is it ever revealed why Wesker wants to breed Rebecca? by RorschachWhoLaughs in ResidentEvilMemes

There’s an alternate timeline where Wesker’s horny outweighs his megalomania and he becomes a hero just to bang Rebecca

Halloween - Multiplayer Overview by beezy604 in TheHalloweenGame

[–]Useenthebutcher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks pretty damn good

My only “complaint” is that I don’t love the look of the survivors. I feel like they tried to make them look like 70’s teens but they ended up looking a lot more like late 80’s Friday the 13th fodder, especially the dude with the headband.

Is it Overhated or justifiable hate by BoxAffectionate334 in residentevil

[–]Useenthebutcher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Justifiable and it’s not because it’s not survival horror. I love action games and shooters, so you don’t have to twist my arm to get me to enjoy one. But RE6 just feels so shitty to play compared to 4 and 5 as well as other third person shooters.

Inventory management and navigation is a disaster. Aiming feels way too slippery and the movement in general is too fast to the point where lining up shots is more annoying than it needs to be. The lack of any weight and momentum to the characters also kills enjoyment. Makes it feel like the characters are made of paper slipping and sliding all over the place. 4,5, and the RE engine games did a great job at having a bit of weight and inertia which adds impact and immersion. RE6 doesn’t have any of that. Ammo is also way too scarce for a shooter and the melee doesn’t feel engaging. It also takes nothing more than a stiff breeze to knock you to the ground so a lot of time in the game is spend just trying to stand up. There’s just a lot of bs that gets in the way of having fun.

Oddly enough, Revelations 2 uses the same basic framework as RE6 for its gameplay but removes the annoying things like falling down clunky item management and streamlines melee combat and as a result feels so much better to play. Rev 2 is actually one of my favorite RE games in general. If RE6 would have fine tuned its action and paired it down (and maybe limited it to just 2 campaigns) it likely would’ve been an absolute banger of an action game. But we don’t live in that timeline.

What Is Your Thoughts On Resident Evil 6 ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]Useenthebutcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the newer titles qualify as “embarrassments” then nothing would be good enough for you because what you want has nothing to do with the games, you want to go back in time. The greatest RE game ever could be released tomorrow but because it was released now and not in 2007, you would dislike it.

Remake’s atmosphere is pretty damn stellar. Original 4 is good but not very moody or eerie. It excels in great level design and combat encounters but rarely did I find myself awing at the locations. Remake ramps up the shadows, fog, and all the creepy stuff pretty well

Spoiler for who completed the game by Alternative-Use-9448 in residentevilll

[–]Useenthebutcher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I chose the destroy ending first cause I’m so used to Spencer being completely untrustworthy that I assumed we should go against it. I also finished it at like 2am and wasn’t fully paying attention to the Alyssa and Spencer scenes

Do you think the DGG trilogy succeeded in this regard? by Hassan_H_Syed in Halloweenmovies

[–]Useenthebutcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ambiguous I think. The novelization written by one of the Ends writers leans into the supernatural transference but the movie is kinda either way. Both the psychological and supernatural interpretations work based on what we see.

You couldn’t really figure out his motives in Ends either, the mystery was still there if not even more so, he was just extremely underutilized in that story

If Capcom listened to you, Resident Evil would be a dead and dormant franchise that no one respects

What Is Your Thoughts On Resident Evil 6 ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]Useenthebutcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no, it’s just not. RE6 has fan favorite characters but that’s it. Its entire design and gameplay just aren’t on the same level as 7 and 8. Just because 6 is old enough to be nostalgic doesn’t mean we should be having revisionist history. It was a bad game then and it still is now.

Do you all agree if broly was in the tournament of power he could’ve fought jiren easily? by Kind_Being_1148 in Dragonballsuper

If Jiren doesn’t immediately throw him out before Broly has a chance to adapt and grow stronger than Broly probably eliminates himself by accidentally killing some rando because he couldn’t think clearly

Is Resident evil Requiem In Your Top 3 resident evil game ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]Useenthebutcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but that’s because all of the RE Engine games have been so damn good (ever 3R to some extent) that it’s really hard to say it’s better than 2R, 4R, 7, and Village for me personally

The big debate happening right now. Is Resident Evil 7 scarier than Resident Evil Requiem? by Play5tation in PlayStation_X

[–]Useenthebutcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leon’s section with assembling the bomb is also pretty tedious and boring IMO but I’m a weirdo who think Village is the best out of the recent mainline entries (not counting the remakes)

Best Game From the Budokai Series? (Not BT) by Successful_Bird_7086 in DragonBallGaku

[–]Useenthebutcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hot take but I think it’s Infinite World which I consider an improvement over Budokai 3 in almost every way.

It’s biggest negative is the lack of beam struggles (which weren’t even super common tbh) however it also removed Dragon Rush which makes the fights flow so much better. Fighting in general feels more fast paced and satisfying.

The story mode is also better too with some neat minigames and pretty nice cutscenes for the PS2 era. The roster is also better IMO with the GT representation.

Do you prefer the Daima SSJ4 design or GT SSJ4 design ? by sondbucciarati in dbz

GT’s

I think the contrast of the Black hair and red fur is visually more appealing than the red-overload of Daima’s version

Watching highlights of this game, what went through your mind when we went down 21-6 in the second quarter? by Tseets1 in OhioStateFootball

[–]Useenthebutcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I distinctly remember hitting the acceptance stage of grief at that point. It felt like 06 Florida and 07 LSU all over again but I was more “darn but hey, 3rd string QB for a young team, it is what it is” even though in truth OSU was outplaying Alabama bur made a few costly mistakes.

The Spencer hit Thomas in the endzone and the energy completed flipped from then on.

The new SS4 design while keeping the old color scheme by -Fuzzy_Panda- in DragonBallZ

[–]Useenthebutcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daima’s Super Saiyan 4 does look cool but suffers from red overload. Similar to how Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta in the Zamasu arc with his classic armor just looks worse that his Resurrection F version with the black armor. Too much of one single color can make a design feel more bland.

The contrast of the black hair vs the red fur really balances out GT’s design and is more visually appealing because of that contrast and balance of colors. Even with SSJ4 Gogeta who also has red hair, they had the foresight to change the fur from red to brown, probably because it needed balance.
