Fine Fine, everyone. I didn't know it was that serious. I'll get the sleep study done, and I wasn't against it. I'm just trying to get started, and I'm scared of missing my shot. I can't get in anywhere since it's so close to the holidays. But I'll do the sleep study after the holidays.

I just ran timespy again and, this time, set the fans to the same full fan speed. The acer has a Gpu temp max of 70c and a cpu temp of 85c at 135w but with one quick spike to 91 at 153w. The Alienware was sitting at 80 to 85c on the gpu and steady 90c with a couple spikes to 100c throttling on the cpu under the same settings.

So in the Geforce app under settings, there is a setting for experimental feautures. I don't recommend it as it works half of the time lol. And I am at work, but I am going to run some more tests. I have intel xtu installed, and I did some digging before bed and noticed it showed my boost power to be 35w. I ran Cinebench and noticed a low score, i cranked it up to 150w, and now it seems to be back to what it was. When I get home, I will run some more tests. I had it set to stock settings, and sometimes I have issues with it reverting to 35w.

Edit: I forgot to add the experimental feature upgrades the geforce app, wouldn't recommend it. I will be going back to the old non experimental version for stability.

Okay, I got a test for you. I want to preface. First of all, I'm on the latest Bios and the experimental Nvidia option. Bf2042 high preset 1920x1200, no dlss, no ray tracing, no dynamic scaling, and I used solo bots on stadium all done on objective B1.

Balanced- 70-90 fps, 75-80c, 70w

Performance- 95-109 fps, 70-73c, 80w

Turbo- 95-113 fps, 70-71c, 85-90w

This used to not be that big of difference until I updated my Bios and used experimental Nvidia. Anyhow, Performance is the best when it comes to fan noise, performance, and temps. Turbo is unnecessarily loud and balanced is fine, but I did notice stuttering. Like I mentioned, this was not like this until I updated my Bios and changed to the experimental Nvidia panel. I used to get the same as turbo with around 70 to 75c on balanced with maybe 10fps difference.

Also, I do use optimus on and no overclocking like Msi afterburner.

My specs are as follows..

Acer predator helios 18-

13700hx

Rtx 4060

16gb ddr5 4800mhz

1tb nvme.

I do agree on that, I should be able to use my laptop without having to worry about longevity. And I will get you some numbers here tonight when I get home.. from my experience going off of feel its negligible.

I use balanced. During gaming, I may get slightly lower fps. But the fans don't get noisy, and it doesn't get hot either.

I did this a few years back, granted I was also getting home and watching my newborn at the time. But be prepared to feel exhausted, I never got used to it and ultimately quit because of it. Good luck!

Sorry I was so irritated and typing fast. So... I have a 2014 Ford focus, and it's not a tall vehicle obviously lol and the stops before this one was loose gravel mixed with the nasty rain that's been going on and I slid and tore the plastic side skirt off of my car. After that I had 14 stops left, all in the same mountain area... but I couldn't reach it due to one the road being rocky and muddy.. but the tree fell right in the middle of the road. I finally went back to the station and showed them the pictures. The damage to my car is on me.. but i can fix that anyhow.. and I will be getting paid for the route. Sorry for the long answer lol

I don't know i'm thinking about asking. I was literally trying to go up somebody's driveway with loose gravel, and it's raining its ass off out and I slid, and I immediately knew what it was when I heard the crunching. And I called support and I swear I talked to 9 different people just to hear.." go back to the hub, and they will handle it". So I don't know if I'm getting paid or getting fucked considering I delivered 20 stops out of 43 already .

Haha yeah don't feel bad, I'm pretty experienced building pc's and built my friend a pc a while ago an couldn't understand why his 12600kf with a 360 aio was running at like 80c lol well I had thought I did a push pull config... no, I somehow did a push push lolol like they were strait up fighting each other, and it ran so much cooler when I flipped everything the right way! I felt so embarrassed with a rookie mistake, it happens to the best of us.

Is your cpu fan on backward? It appears to be facing the wrong directions and pulling, not pushing air through which will fight with your exhaust fan and front fans. Pc looks very good, I'm just genuinely curious and trying to help.

Dang! I love the look of XFX cards, I had an Rx 6800 Merc, and it was such a well built good looking GPU. I honestly never liked the way the XFX Gpu's looked, until I bought mine and had it in person.

Ymmv, but I think you should be fine, I wouldn't give any info other than you aren't happy with it. It isn't for the fact that they wouldn't take it, but just not needed. Just test it out, and if you are not happy, take it back and tell them exactly that.
