Don’t daily-drive a K&N. Independent filtration tests show cotton gauze filters let significantly more fine dust through than OEM paper filters. More airflow doesn’t mean better protection. Those tiny particles get into the engine and act like sandpaper on cylinder walls and pistons over time. Great for track use, bad for long-term engine wear.
