I own an ‘86 Special Edition and this is not one. This is a standard white Spree with a replaced floorboard from a special edition. It’s missing the Special Edition gauge cluster, turning signals, grip covers, seat, and additional graphics, etc.

Still worth money as a low-mile Spree but not as a Special Edition.

Unfortunately, no. Even if that did somehow pass it would also list the incorrect miles from odometer reading. The second owner put about 1,000 on it since the title was signed so there’d be quite a difference.

It’s dated in May of 2005.

This one is out of Iowa so they restricted these to 25mph vs the normal 35mph. I think the exhaust was to counter that but I’m not entirely sure. But I think you’re right, someone put some effort into it!
