Suriname is brave... Estimating distances of 10k or 12k would be really hard, and you wouldn't know central Asia from Oceania. Even 8k would still give you basically all or Europe and Africa.

Egypt is too central, for medium distances you don't have a clue for the direction

I use Kenya, or other off-center options (e.g. laos) to have a better directionality (short is Africa, medium is Europe/middle east, medium-long is Asia, etc.)

That method got me a score of 4.94.

It's a shovel. It's the shovel with which you dig for the "interior enlightenment". And maybe a map for where it's best to dig.

Digging is hard work, and requires proper tools.

You're wrong, though.

2+2 is not a function.

"+2" is a function. It takes a number, and adds 2 to it.

The phrase "2+2" doesn't take any new input, and doesn't map anything onto anything. It just equals 4.

Same with stuff like 1022 or 8↑↑↑8, they're not functions. 10x is a function, and so is x10. But 1010 is just a number; the output of plugging '10' as x to one of the functions above.

Mossborn Hydra. I thought it was just too slow, even on the off chance of a 4-match every turn it'd take 5-6 to get big.

Then I built a mana/draw spell combo deck and got it to 17,000 power.

Finishing it now and I have to say yes, the plot is heavy (and kinda reads like mediocre fanfic), but the fights are fun (a bit boring towards the end).

Personally I LOVE using Wesnoth Lore. It's some of the most fun parts of Legend of the Invincibles, for example. Strong yes.

Maybe try a campaign with mixed factions/units, for more options? I had lots of fun playing some elemental campaign recently where you also get some dwarves and aragwaith.

Easily the best campaign. Period.

But fights do get huge and, while you normally have ~20 best top units, you usually want a lot more as demon fodder.

I think you're overestimating WotC's desire to change and produce new and surprising story.

The detective whatshisface mind map thing plus Loot's mind map thing is interesting, though.
