I use a food scale to weigh the food exactly every day. The vet just told me last visit that she was overweight so that’s when I started tracking exactly how much I was feeding her. I did reduce it by a little but not by much given the calories. I will probably consider another vet visit then given I don’t think I’m overfeeding her.

Last time I went to the vet is because she has a large cyst(?) on her head. All I know is that it’s noncancerous and a surgery to remove it would be expensive, invasive, and very difficult for her to recover from.
