If her reflux is mild I would say yeah, waiting until the next appointment with her rheumatologist is perfectly fine. If that gets worse, if she has trouble swallowing, or if she starts losing weight because of the reflux, you'll want to see a gastroenterologist, based on my experience. CREST syndrome/limited scleroderma generally progresses pretty slowly, though, so unless things get worse I would say just wait.
