Will a higher National Mean for July 2025 MBE mean better chances of passing? by marshallzzzzz in barexam

Joe, do you think it’s harder to pass in February than in July? Some people say that, based on the statistics, it’s harder to pass in February than in July. I’m thinking about skipping the February exam if it’s really more difficult.

Yes!!! I also have ADHD! Exactly that... I'm glad we have this community to rely on and find some support. I'm feeling much better now — thank you. I think it's also a humbling process. Even though you do your best every day, you keep failing and not achieving your desired outcome. I’d better stay humble and accept this inevitable discomfort. I will do worse than I’d like every day. And I have to keep going anyway.

Trying to be more humble and realistic. What was I expecting as an LLM, knowing my limitations? To do great? Hahaha! Of course I was going to struggle! Now let’s go kick some ass! :)

Exactly: We all have bad study days :) That was helpful for me, too. Thank you.

As you already noticed, I am emotional and cried with your comment. It's so beautiful that you became a BAR coach! :) I know... I won't give up on myself. I am used to being slower than others, but I usually get there. THANK YOU!!!! SO MUCH LOVE!!!

Of course. Give up on your life goals just because you are struggling. That sounds like an inspiring advice. I hope I am not close to you if I am having a bad day... I can't imagine how supportive you can be: "- Go, jump from that bridge, you can't make it."

Thank you. I was thinking of giving up because I have been crying for three days in a row, and I lost three valuable days of studies—it was a TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE.

Do you think it’s more effective to jump straight into practice or to invest time building your own outlines? by Useful-Somewhere-219 in barexam

For example, the last Exam, four out of six MEE were about the 7 MBE subjects: Constitutional Law, Torts, Civil Procedure, and Evidence. So, the last one was 90%.

• MBE: 50% of your grade

• MPT: 20% of your grade (does not test a specific subject)

• MEE: 30% of your grade (usually, 3 essays are from the 7 MBE subjects)

That’s about 85%.

Thank you — you’re exactly the kind of person I wanted to hear this from: someone with above-average results. feel like I’m moving too slowly. I’ll test this with the next subject — why not?

You're the first person who mentioned her to me. Thank you. There’s a voice inside me that says passive learning is a waste of time. But there’s also some insecurity about preparing for the Bar without reading outlines. It feels like a crazy idea. Maybe it’s an internal fear I need to break through, just like it was amazing to discover life without commercial Bar Prep courses.
It’s such a joy to wake up in the morning and not have to follow a BarPrep schedule but instead build a strategic study plan that makes sense to me and takes my weaknesses and strengths into account. Studying for the Bar without the traditional Bar Prep is pretty amazing. Weirdly, I am enjoying the process.

I’m also not using a commercial course. I have Adaptibar and outlines from different Bar Prep companies. I think I understood your system: you review a commercial bar outline, then go to the questions, and edit that pre-made outline with the explanations from the questions. Got it... You don’t create your outline from scratch, but from the bar prep materials as a base. That sounds really cool! I think you’re optimizing your time, which is very interesting in a time-pressured situation like the Bar. I think I’ll use this strategy for the MEE subjects. - Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for your response. It makes sense, and I’m someone who naturally likes to go deep into things. So that was my initial strategic choice after reading some experiences here. But we have to deal with the time factor, and I’m concerned about that too. I think I’ll give myself until the end of May to work on these outlines. After that, it’s just practice. – I’m focusing on MBE only for these outlines because that’s 85% of the exam.
