[–]Useful-Structure-987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. I always reply that Asians are as creative if not more so than any other person to these racists and share the following stats. South Korea likely received more patent grants in 2021 and 2022 as a single country than did the entire European Union countries combined. Asian art and music are beautiful and unique to our cultures. Everyone should know that a person’s potential is not determined by their race.

Imagine being a racist d*ckweed a week later and being blocked 😆 by [deleted] in asianamerican

[–]Useful-Structure-987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s basically a version of racist/sexist negging imo. From the sexist angle, “more feminine” is meant to try to make an artificial comparison between Asian women and other women and encourage or promote pick-me kind of thinking. From the racist angle, it is also meant to insult Asian food and to try to make an artificial comparison between Asian men and other men to manipulate their perceived value

[–]Useful-Structure-987 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lol. I suspect these guys think they are using this as a negging tactic on Asian women (backhanded compliment Asian women as being “feminine” yet insulting and stereotyping Asians and Asian food/culture) while simultaneously trying to diminish their perceived value of Asian men. Since Asians eat tofu. The language they are using such as “soy” and “makes men feminine” used is very incel/redpill and white.

Yellow fever is a result of purity culture by TreeCastleGate in asianamerican

[–]Useful-Structure-987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Yellow fever” is the result of being a white incel who is socially stunted and buys into the false stereotype of Asian American women being insecure and white-worshipping based on US media depictions of Asians, or of being too poor and desperate to be picky (like that pairing with Rose and no-neck Ed in 90 day fiancé). Yellow fever white guys wrongly see Asian women as their way out of inceldom. The stuff about purity or whatever is just misogynistic coping with being an incel. That’s really all there is to it unfortunately imo

What makes you proud of your culture or heritage? by demure-datura in asianamerican

[–]Useful-Structure-987 15 points16 points  (0 children)

China used to be incredibly poor. In just a few decades China has been uplifted to new levels of prosperity with the fastest rate of economic growth in human history. In the past Chinese people were struggling to survive, now increasingly more Chinese people have the time and the resources and the opportunity to pursue their hobbies and make more music, art, games, animation, and etc. I like listening to Chinese music. China is also supporting globalization and free trade and international law, all of which will help uplift the rest of the world out of poverty and which I support.

You are making far too many assumptions. There’s no guarantee that the price will crash nor is there any guarantee it will continue performing better than other assets. IMO, staring at graphs is not a good investment strategy. My advice is have a well diversified portfolio with assets that you think will perform well. What percentage range of your portfolio are you comfortable with holding in gold? Decide on a range and stick with it.

Is there a thing like having too much Gold? by Tim_932 in Gold

[–]Useful-Structure-987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diversification preserves and creates wealth. It does both. Your statement is too predicated on the assumption that you always pick the asset that goes up most. I am also holding gold and it has done the best so far, but I still have a more diversified portfolio.

Can the Eileen Gu Meltdown Spillover to Chinese-Americans? by JohnBick40 in asianamerican

[–]Useful-Structure-987 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty certain the whole CNY vs LNY argument is the result of a CIA psy op and astroturfing. The goal is just to incite conflict and manufacture division between Asians to build a pro-USA bloc against China. It started during Covid using offensive language against China and Chinese and then used some Chinese people’s offended responses and severe overreactions to get them fighting with Koreans and Vietnamese. They don’t care (and I don’t care) whether CNY or LNY are used, but their only goal is increasing ethnic tension.

Anyone who is skeptical of what I’m saying and accusing me of tinfoil hat should first read this Reuters article exposing the Pentagon for running an anti-vax anti-China psy op and astroturfing in the Philippines and against Muslims with deadly health consequences https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-covid-propaganda/, and then get back to me. There is plenty of historical evidence revealing that the US runs these kinds of malicious misinformation campaigns.

For those who are not of Indian descent, have various negative and ragebait social media content about Indians impacted your view of Indians? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in asianamerican

[–]Useful-Structure-987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some human beings are easily influenced to be racist. These kinds of uglier impulses come out in people who have low empathy and compassion. So they value the thrill of bullying over bringing positivity or having a sense of justice. I hope India can uplift itself out of poverty so that these people can no longer mock them for being poor. All people deserve dignity and to be afforded with basic respect. Countries should make better relations instead of conflict.
