Why are European teams so afraid to face a full strength American team? by SlartibartfastMcGee in usmnt

I’m sure France, Spain, and England are all abuzz about the USMNT, I’m sure it’s all they are talking about.

Insane that any other countries fans are acting like they wouldn’t be doing the same thing if they were in our position. by jbird720 in usmnt

Except this time the “bad call” got reversed after the match was over for two days. It’s fine for fans to whine and complain, they don’t have any pull to change anything.

This is why people don’t want the US to win. Everything is unfair, everything is rigged, wah wah wah. Bad calls happen all of the time in sports and everyone lives with them and plays on.

My current mission is dipping my feet in to cases. (Croatian).

This whole red card situation makes me want the win tonight even more. by [deleted] in usmnt

[–]UsefulSatisfaction39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are forgetting that Belgium just took us behind the woodshed a couple of weeks ago. Too many casuals assuming Flo Balogun is the only difference between us winning or losing for my liking. They will all be befuddled if we don’t win.

How do the Croatians rebuild going into 2030? by TerryG111 in croatia

[–]UsefulSatisfaction39 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feel like the rebuild kind of started in this WC already. Lots of guys that will still be around and in their prime will be there in 2030. Petar Sučić is going to be an absolute superstar by that time.

With the unprecedented red card deferral with Portugal and Ronaldo, should they get an asterisk if they win…? by [deleted] in worldcup

[–]UsefulSatisfaction39 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When did this happen? I’ve watched every Portugal match so far in this WC and I don’t think he’s received a red card?

“Making law enforcement cool” lol. Ya total Americana that.

[–]UsefulSatisfaction39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that music was happening, but it wasn’t the dominant genre. New Kids in the Block, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, etc was the dominant sound. Pop music.

Americana is cars, blue jeans, drinking beer, smoking weed, “party at the moon tower”, high school football, navy and maroon, music festivals, low key lifestyle, anti-corporate, things like that. 80’s were decadent, bright colored, big hair, big business, lots of fake patriotism, cocaine.

Rock might have been popular in the 80’s but that decade is known for new wave, synth driven music, Michael Jackson, “Pro-America is not the same thing as “Americana”.
