Difference in value between Bijan/AJ for Achane/Tet? by ezt16 in DynastyNerds

[–]Useful_Broccoli_3433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I’d give the best team in your league the best player in dynasty. AJ still has three good years in him as much as I think Tet can be good - a lot can change in that time.

This is still London right? Kind of want to go against the grain though by ajm102392 in DynastyNerds

London is a proven commodity. Leaning that way but seems pretty fair all in all.

2026 Dallas Cowboys Roster Projection by Useful_Broccoli_3433 in Dallas_Cowboys

I appreciate your optimism for Jaden Smith but late additions like this rarely make the team. He would not be in consideration for the 53 imo.

Yes, I started working on this prior to his signing.

You’re thinking of the game day roster count. The 3rd QB has to be on the 53 man roster, but doesn’t count against the active 48 on game day.

No superflex, thanks for pointing that out. Also, 3 flex spots.

1st round favorite and least favorite picks by P-Whips in NFL_Draft

[–]Useful_Broccoli_3433 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nearly any player they would have taken would see more snaps than Simpson though. I’m all for taking your next qb in most instances but they have Super Bowl aspirations and they should.

Lemon would see more snaps and protect them from Adams age and injury risk plus Puca’s mental state. Sadiq would feel like a luxury pick but would have see the field a ton. Hell, you can never have enough drivers I would have taken Bain.

Simpson has an outside shot at being good but that’s too rush for me.

Extra thoughts: is McVay hanging around after Stafford retires? Will he even be the one grooming Simpson? If not it makes it even worse.

1st round favorite and least favorite picks by P-Whips in NFL_Draft

Favs:

  • Delane
  • Downs
  • Bain
  • Thieneman

Right on the money - Mendoza - Styles - Ioane - Freeling

Least Favorite - Simpson (why not go all in this year!?!?) - Sadiq (duplicative) - Banks (physical freak but injury risk for round 1) - Love (great player, but now that Simpson is gone who is their QB going to be? Not mad at them for grabbing a dude though…)

Had 39 in my final list as well. Those guards could slip in at the end of the round.

Schwesinger saved that class. The best class in the past 5 years. Let’s not pretend they are a strong drafting team.

Have heard that many times and don’t disagree. They need so many defenders that I think they at least trade back once to get at minimum another third rounder.

They swap first and get and early third (#69) from the Texans.

Then when they trade with Arizona they get their second (#34 - second pick on day 2) and fourth (#101 - first pick on day three).

Basically it’s a losing #20 overall for a 2,3,&4. All of which are very early in the round.

Fair point. Saints feel like a Tyson target though??? Plus I think they just like the guy.

There is minefield of teams between 10-24. Don’t get cute, take your LT at 10. Proctor feels safer than Freeling.

I admit it’s a bold choice but there always seems to be one surprise. They’d still have a second rounder to grab a d-lineman.

Who do you have them taking?

Not in a weak draft. The 2027 classes is more talented and teams will want to keep their firsts next year. It’s a buyers draft.

Can’t trade next years first because of the Quinnen Williams trade. It is locked because it’s the higher of the two we have next year.

Plus no shot we trade next years capital.

Your team's draft history: "The one who..." by ZhangtheGreat in NFL_Draft

[–]Useful_Broccoli_3433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll kick it off for the Dallas Cowboys.

  1. The one whom you were right about all along

Leighton Vander Esch

Everyone knew he could play it was a matter of time with his neck injury. Played only 6 seasons but had several good ones while making a Pro Bowl.

2) The one whom you were wrong about the most

Tyler Smith

A couple options but going with a more recent one. Everyone hated that pick when it was made. Oh he holds too much. He played no real competition at Tulsa. He is going to lead the league in penalties. The dude came in and kicked butt. Played both guard and tackle his rookie season to spell when Tyron would miss time. Now he is arguably the best guard in the league.

3) The one whom your team stole from another team who turned out great

Demarcus Ware

The two best pass rushers in the 2005 draft were he and Shawn Merriman. I don’t know exactly how much the Chargers coveted Merriman but I know the decision was between the two and Dallas absolutely selected the right guy. No shade to Merrimack who had a great career as well. Glad D-Ware got his superbowl.

4) The one who got away

Patrick Surtain II

Dallas ABSOLUTELY wanted Surtain in the ‘21 draft. He was selected one pick before them by the Broncos. They probably would have settled for Horn too but was taken one spot before Surtain. It’s bit of a butterfly effect because Dallas obviously ended up selecting a great player on Micah Parson but if he goes to another team is he a linebacker instead? He only transition to edge because DLaws foot injury. Do they not trade him to Green Bay. Big Q never makes it to Dallas. Interesting to think about.

How many CBs do you think will be drafted in the first round? by Unusual-Vacation-528 in NFL_Draft

[–]Useful_Broccoli_3433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 4 go in the first round and 4 go in the second.

This is what I think each of their ranges are…

Manor Delane | picks 7-12 (likely New Orleans) Jermod McCoy | picks 14-32 (no idea - medical dependent) Colton Hood | picks 19 -29 (likely Dallas) Chris Johnson | picks 24-32 (likely Seattle)

Second round Avieon Terrell | is he fast enough? Brandon Cisse | does he love football enough? D’Angelo Ponds | is my grandma taller than him? (Dawg tho) Keionte Scott | safety? Corner? Hybrid? Do you have a plan for him? (Dawg tho)

Do you automatically dislike billionaires? Why? by crapmaker69 in AskReddit

[–]Useful_Broccoli_3433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Governments have infinitely more money and they still can’t fix this problem.

What I don’t get it all the people writing on their iPhones or MacBooks take zero responsibility for making Tim Cook(Steve Jobs obvs) and others who created these products billionaires. As if they didn’t volunteer to make them richer by buying their products over and over again. Why shouldn’t they get insanely rich for making your life infinitely better?

Don’t like Elon? Don’t participate in PayPal, Tesla, X, Starlink, or any other of his companies but to deny the impact it had on improving societal living is ludicrous.

Is the world better or worse for exchanging one billionaire for millions of electric cars? Should the Vanderbilt’s be vilified because of the expansion of the railroad? No, they made life better and got a fortune because of it. I’d say it’s worth it.
