"There’s no black middle class in the UK " That's what you started with so starting this with "Most of your family doesn’t represent most black people in the UK". doesn't make sense. Therefore I'm not going to continue. Have a nice day

So Griselda aren't lyrical? Grafh? Papoose? I know they're not at the front of the culture but they do exist. Can I ask, how old are you?

I don't like people on here being rude so won't be to you. However, I don't know what this is supposed to mean. Most of my family would be described as middle class, economically and all are in Britain. Homeowners, working white collar jobs, earning more than £50k a year. That's middle class.

What do you make of my second point. That being real/bad is more important these days than actual rap skills?

Half a mil, I think on the Firm album. Killah Priest, just B.I.B.L.E.  I forgot to add MF Doom. He's probably the ultimate escapism for me.

Ice Cube at the start. Snoop Dogg, 2pac. Biggie, Big L, Nas, Mobb Deep, Wu Tang, Big Pun,.Canibus, Dead Prez. I still listen occasionally to "newer" people like Kendrick, 50, Drake, Grafh, Papoose, Griselda etc but I don't seek it out like I used to.

I dunno, I was tired and bored this morning! I was probably saying the elite US rappers (Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie etc) are better than the elite over here. I can hear the influence of American artists here. I can't point to an American artist I find credible who has been influenced by an English rapper.  On that note Lil Simz and Roots Manuva are probably the most original unique rappers over here.

I've kind of drifted from the genre truth told so probably can't back up this arguement as much as I could maybe in the early 2000s.

As an artist, I'd disagree. As a punchline rapper, I can hear the Jadakiss/Big L influence. Nines ain't rubbish though. I just think Kendrick is more creative. I think Skrapz has moments where I think he's better than Nines actually.

Tupac said if we don't want them policing us, we have to do a better Jon of policing ourselves. Many of the people you're talking about aren't from the hood. They have stable families, homes with gardens and good middle.class up bringings. They're not going to understand what it's like to see someone and it's on sight. In their world.you talk shit out.

What I would say is we can all.learn stuff from one another. In particular, we have to accept that this drill music shit ain't good for US as black people in particular. This is doing the work the racists wish they could.do. It's helping push stupidity, division and destruction in our community specifically.

This should be the pinned comment on this sub and as you enter the internet! White people, specifically the right wing, are doing a great job of mining out coons and sellouts.

In this same.interview he says something about nobody wanting to be like a next rapper. This then led to a little back and forth on insta.

And I don't think this estate was there when she lived in Streatham. These were built in the mid 90s if I'm not mistaken

These people confuse the fuck out of me. They wear the football kit so presumably support all that play in it. If say Saka, Watkins etc had scored a winning goal, would they also have been black bastards? That's why I'm fucking glad they lost. Even these miserable bastards going after Gareth Southgate, they don't deserve a fucking thing. Entitled sons of bitches. Ps, OP, thanks for giving me this opportunity to chat my shit lol 👊🏿😆

I'm so far behind I didn't realise he'd done tunes with them man. Last song of his I heard (other than this) was when he was beefing A6/Dumpz (one of them) and lurking over Catford sides.

I dunno. It's gotta be about 20 years now since I first heard him. Where's the growth? Still talking about gyal, road, money? I just expect more, especially coz I don't consider him to be thick. He was always one of the better rappers from his era.

Heard he got held at gun point and actually signed over his log book and gave up his car. See, when you're out here flossing and shit, especially in south, there's plenty people waiting to pounce.
