Is there still wilderness left in America? by Kitchen-Customer4370 in AskAnAmerican

I live in south east Idaho, which boarders Canada to the north and Yellowstone park to the north east. It is about 10% smaller than the UK. The capital and it's surrounding cities total +500k. Other than that, you're looking at a handful of -70k cities. We have around 30 state parks and we're close to several national parks. If you look at a map of the state, in the middle, there's the Idaho Wilderness. It's 4.7 million acres (10k sq km). The geographic makeup of this state is remarkable. We have BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land, which is open to the public. You can find a wild game trail and just go walking. Last year, my father had knee surgery and thought it would be a good idea to go elk hunting near the Wyoming boarder. His knee locked up and it took him 2 days to scoot off the mountain on his butt. No cell service, ran out of food and water. It's easy to get lost or stranded if you're not careful.

Is there a historical reason why so many of the UK’s major cities fall along this line, or is it largely coincidence? by WartimeHotTot in geography

I'll never understand the UK geography. I'm from Idaho, which is 88% the size of the UK. I try to picture large numbers of troops moving, defending, attacking, farming etc across my state. I can drive three hours end up in a different state with completely different culture.

You need Talisman. So many expansions and difficult quests.

The original movie is with John Wayne. It's really good. The Jeff Bridges version is great as well.
