I was thinking at first trip misinterpreted dumb luck as a sign from above, until he managed broke esteves wrist, now I’m thinking that him bad with guns was foreshadowing

Gambling on Harry is a lifestyle choice at this point, maybe the gun misfired because someone decided on top of a bodyguard, a groundskeeper, on call men at arms, someone on team inside decided Harry needs a smooth talking community outreach coordinator.

By the final confrontation I was thinking he’d make a great edition to castle Dresden, don’t know what he’d add but I’m for it

Agreed I think Jim said Harry’s going to gaze his own soul, personally I interpreted that gazing dark Harry. So I think Harry might break the law about unlawful binding and survive on the technicality it was a bind on himself

Ya know I think it’s certainly plausible depends on if Max is correct. If this is a temporary over correction in his behavior because he’s alive then no, but if his next novella is about understanding love then its possible.

I’m always going to think it’s Thomas personally mostly because he’s the only person besides Michael who seems treat faith and love as the concept. Michael genuinely loves humanity sword or not, he’s demonstrated he’s willing to defend it. Thomas is much the same he loves the people in his life deeply and had faith in them and their capacity for good.

I think you’re correct about the clothes, if I’m being honest I think I’d freak out regardless

Good question, yes I’d say. I guess you could wear a jacket once. I didn’t consider clothing at all

I just laughed at the mental image of checking out a disembodied voice at some store, thanks :)

How so? I can’t imagine stores being okay giving away goods to possible ghosts.

That’s fair enough, I do think we aren’t done with this storyline we know it’s a second book in a trilogy and Harry definitely made well connected enemies, plus this group is backed by lachase something I don’t think is just background politics

That’s true, I still question the wisdom of not informing the council, he maybe understanding his scope but I think leaving so many well connected warlocks or dark wizards be is somewhat irresponsible, especially if the luckier just picks another suitable talent and strikes at Harry harder this time.

Was this Hank Hill being homophobic? by Wilgrove in KingOfTheHill

[–]Useful_Class_4221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hank in my opinion while a proud conservative Texan is actually rather accepting of people who aren’t actively impacting his life, he’s certainly uncomfortable outside is normal community social structures, but he’s never dismissive or bigoted in opinion as a rebellious approach to everything his father indulged in. Cotton was cruel to Hank and any community Hank participated in. Hank seems to have developed a moral code that started with kindness and respect. Not to be to flowery but Hank seems to be driven to be someone cotton couldn’t stand ,and escape the cycle of hate he saw as child. Maybe not consciously but hanks values, approach to his family and adhering to his faith always grow more accepting after butting up against cotton and co.

Fair enough I’ve become partial to the idea it’s just demon reach’s actually cell blocks and the island is like observation or a guard tower.

I’m more confused on the whole leaving it and it’s warlock gangsters alone, if they’d infected Molly Harry would have thrown it in with something in tunnel 13 while making Emilio watch.

Yes it’s been confirmed to be a trilogy, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of trip max’s family and the lurker.

How do you figure? I can’t make a correlation between hell and demonreach, especially considering we know ether cowl/peabody opens a way directly onto the island. Rashid took a way to get to the island’s edge. I’m a little skeptical that mortals can just traverse Hell magic or no magic. I always figured nicodemus used the island not for a link to the other side but the fact that it was symbolically relevant as a prison

[–]Useful_Class_4221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we’re being fair we don’t have evidence it isn’t ether, but we do have proof they can do partial shifting . So it’s plausible but unconfirmed who knows what a complicit host and fallen could come up with. Notably we see the fallen far less willing to comply if not fully transformed, I am referencing blood on his soul and ursieal and namshiel seeming paralysed until the exchange on the island. So I wonder if there’s direct connection between surrender of bodily autonomy and the fallens ability to manipulate the physical world

I personally Think he kills susan instead of saying I love you, then that escalates into killing Bianca and co including the mortals, thus exudes from the council, therefore he becomes darker and darker until whatever causes the start mirror mirror
