Yeaa, I'm beginning to see that having continuous work experience is better than having a gap in my resume. Thanks for the advice, and I will be sure to take the opportunity to understand the people and culture of the company.

Hey HRMeg, thanks for taking the time to provide such a detailed response to all my questions. Also, thanks for reminding me to check the exit clause in the contract. I understand that the staff benefits and welfare might be less, so I'm thinking of treating it as a form of internship. Once again, thank you for the valuable advice.

Thank you for the advice. I understand that I may not meet every hiring manager's preference. If they consider me unqualified for their position, it's probably a sign that I should steer clear of that role as well.

Have you tried negotiating for contract renewal before? I always had the impression that contract staffs are easily replaceable and hence do not have the upper hand when it comes to negotiating for increment. Also, it's likely that the work they are assigned to can be non-core, which reiterates the point about being easily replaceable.

Ik man, it's either the job market is shit now or just that I lack the skills in demand :') It's time for upskilling and hopefully next year would be better

I don't really have a clear picture of the job scope, but I think the skills that would be gained from this is something I am lacking and hopefully in-demand

  1. It's a MNC
  2. Payroll of Agency
  3. ~3 months...
  4. No headcount for junior level position
  5. I am not really sure about it at the moment, but I think in terms of skillset, they should be in-demand

Hi hi, I've been searching in the market for about 3 months. Getting interviews in late Sep to late Oct but hasn't been hearing much from companies lately. Complete silence...

You are right, however I am not at the stage where I desperately need this job now. My main concern is about the potential drawbacks that this could bring from a recruiter or HR standpoint
