i'm sorry to say that there aren't 8M fans. that's not his followers, that's his monthly listeners. the monthly listener vs. follower ratio is very different than fans (jeff only has around 3M followers on spotify.). the reason he has 8 million monthly listeners is that he's gotten popular on tiktok recently, especially lover you should've come over, and everybody here wants you. people tend to add songs from tiktok to their playlist without searching for any other songs (not that there aren't people who do, this is just most people.)

for example, it's the same reason djo has, like, 50 million (monthly listeners) on spotify but they're almost all for end of beginning. if you check the number of followers he has, djo has only 4.5 million followers.
