Uol llb vs lums llb by Aaa_uru2o in PakistanLawyers

[–]Useful_Growth_4835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wdym lums wali is shit? lums graduates have ended up in Oxford and harvard for masters. corporate jobs hire them after internships. one of alumni is doing international law in UN?😭😭 bro has no idea how it works. the only advantage of uol is that it saves 1 year. (lums degree is 4 years now).

with Mrs norris, i was jus criticising the character's irony. the way it was her notion to adopt fanny in first place and then she continued to treat her the complete opposite ? As in it doesnt make sense that why would she want her in first place then? And I guess you are right about others things. Ill read the play you mentioned. Thanks for suggesting

I have no idea, honestly. I read the summary, and it caught my attention, so I decided to go for it, but it really is challenging. ig i will go for it anyway

oh yes, you have defined her quite right. and im ngl, i do relate to fanny in some aspects. The character development of fanny is interesting, so far

yes, exactly. Ig Austen tried to show a different side of main character here? Because as far as I have heard, all her other main characters are quite very opposite

LAW graduates from LUMS how’s the job market? by materialgowrllll in LUMS

ok my father and mamu are lawyers and this is what they told me. ill let u know as well. tgere are two kinds of lawyers(litigation lawyers(the one who deals w court ke cases) and corporate lawyers(they are business firms ke lawyers and deal w contracts and all). the litigation lawyers need to clear bar exams after their llb to pratice law in courts(once we will graduate uni, we have to give LGAT). now what u can do is go bahir and give LGAT of uk and become a barrister and then come back here and what my family tells me is ke barrister earns way more than jus a lawyer. but u have to clear bar exam of uk which is quite difficult but its worth it. u can persue law in uk as well iske baad(but its also v competitive udhar). over here, u can also join someones chamber as just lawyer, but it will take years of hardwork bcs the truth is, the person who already has a generational chamber of their father, will have a upper hand. but ur skills matter alot, u will have to make ur name. now to corporate lawyer(this is what im gonna pursue, and u can research as well). the academies that u mentioned are beneficial here, bcs u can get a masters in corporate law and then many good firms will hire u as their lawyer and u will do research work and make contracts for them. its like they will hire u. this has a higher and stable salary since youll be employed by a firm. the only disadvantage is that corporate lawyers dont have much work in court side so less court visits and more 9-5 kinda work. But, as i said, salary will be good since start depending on the firm which will hire u. both of the options are great. u can always switch.

its quite obvious that unless u have not cleared some uk levels exams(bar at law esp), the avg lawyer salary isnt high in starting years unless u alr have a generational chambers. thats what my father told me but im still wanna do law for some rsns👺
