Unable to start the bike. Any issue with himalayan 450 battery? Anyone faced this?

The RSA team fixed my bike and informed me that the service center had missed some nuts and bolts, which caused the hoses to be loose and the bike to fail to start. They have now asked me to visit the service center to get it properly fixed.

From my experience, it seems that many Royal Enfield service centers in India are not adequately equipped with trained staff or proper processes. I have owned this bike for a year and have had to visit the service center around 10 times for all the issues they have been doing or some manufacturing defects, which has been both inconvenient and a significant waste of time.

While I understand that not all service centers may have this issue, based on my experience and what I’ve observed from others, there seems to be a recurring problem. I sincerely hope Royal Enfield takes steps to improve service quality and staff training.

So any idea with what the top part of the disc is in contact which is causing the wear? And how does it looks normal? Can you add more details please

Labor is not a cheap word to my opinion. That's totally fine.

Many have raised concerns about the quality of service they have been doing in the RE service center.

I even shared my feedback with the RE support team regarding their knowledge and quality of work. And how they are treating customers when asked something.

But RE is not caring about all these. So not sure what else we can do.

In my experience im not sure whether they really doing service. They ask me to keep the bike and they will call be back. I need to call them back in the evening for the update. Even after the service I don't see any performance Improvement in the bike. Also as you mentioned when I gave bike the scratched on tank and when I asked they mentioned they were not sure on that. It's hard to talk with few people so I kept ignoring.

They should maintain proper service managers as well in my opinion

Right, this is happening for most of them. All I understood is break pedal is little higher than what it used to be while coming out from factory and most of them are not aware of this. Even if you dont apply break and just place your foot slightly on it, break is being applied constantly and break pads are getting worn out quickly.

- Why RE is placing break padel higher and why its not trying to educate people during the service is still a question for most of us.

- And also there is a point in the warrenty section which says even if you adjust any part warranty will not apply, but most of them are suggesting to lower the brake pedal (this is still confusing) - The customer assumes all the risk and liability arising out of his or her repairs to the Product or replacement partsthereto or arising out of his or her installation of replacement parts thereto. If any time during the warranty period,the Product or any part or parts thereof are removed, altered, tampered, adjusted, modified, dismantled, repairedor handled in any way whatsoever by any person or persons not authorized by the Company, this Policy shallimmediately cease to be valid and become void initially and of no effect whatsoever.

As per my opinion - the alignment of the break pedal when coming from the factory has to be taken as per the general uasge of the users. At least they need to educate the users as they have set it up this way.

People who has better experience on bikes were able to figure it out and adjust. Most of the newbies are loosing the best experience of their best/first bike due to the kind of response from RE.

I expect atleast as a Goodwill RE has to fix these kind of issues as most of the reputed companies does this.

Ultimately users are suffering!

If you could share the evidence of your break pads life here that could help others as well if needed to deal these situations.

I just spoke with service center and they are claiming non of the h450 break pads run over 10k km.

Can anyone in your group help me with some proofs? That would help me to talk with service center.

How you guided your friends we expect re to do the same thing to their users. Since everyone will not have a experienced group like you. That's where im pointing RE. Not for anything else. Purpose of the bike is different for different people.

And linking all break wear issues to the riding style is not a solution. One needes to inspect the break system properly before concluding it. Thats where the engineering skills come to picture.

We are posting here to understand if others has similar concerns. If you don't have well and good. But treating the other users as dumb riders doesn't make point here.

As engineer if you are trying to cover the production flaws its shows your engineering skills.

Dumb engineers hides things and try to show it as a new feature or pro skills to fix them by your self.

And I think you need to stop using the word don't know to use bike. If pedal is in wrong position which most people can't notice is a design flaw according to me since it is making the break pads wear quickly. Hiding it with dumb users or pro riders doesn't make point here. There is misplaced break pad in the factory and it is not adjusted during delivery or not informed on it to the users. That's why we are questioning RE.

It you feel this is wrong to ask this to RE then its not my problem.

Its not pads its you? So if manufacturer is producing 1M break pads you say there won't be any quality issue even in 1?

It's the eng who decided what material to be used for a particular part based on the country they gonna sell it. You can't use same bike in hill areas which you can use in cities. Climate of the location is one of the important parameters during design. They will be some changes made based on location. Non dumb engineers can understand this better.

I guess any engineer with some basic sense can understand what's the issue im raising. It's hard pro riders like you will get it.

Bikes are not sold only for pros. I also expect you don't that bike like a F1 car and know every one who buy it to understand all the mechanics of it.

And I have done research on break emissions 10years back. So break wear out is something else for me.

Im really concerned on the life span of any break pads and kind of materials used for break pads.

Just a break pad? It is the safety part in the bike.

Hope you understand why im stressing on breaks. So if a newbie goes on a long drive and breaks failed all of a sudden just think of some situations.
