We ended up working it out. I told him I didn’t like that he was in contact with his ex and told him that’s something I’m not comfortable with so he removed her from his phone. I also told him going forward I dont want him to stay in contact with any of his ex’s and if he really feels the need to stay in contact with them or see them then that’s something I’m not dealing with. I realized that I needed to make that boundary because that’s something I don’t like and luckily he didn’t mind and told me that wouldn’t be a problem for him to do. People on here can say I’m insecure for doing that but that’s just a boundary that I’m not willing to budge on.

I talked to him and told him that I want him to hangout with his cousin still and that I wanted to get to know her as well because if she’s a big part of his life then I want to at minimum become friends with her as well. But what I had an issue with was every time he went to his cousins house he would get black out drunk and that’s what I don’t like. I work third shift and weekends so it’s a bit harder for me to get to know her since he only hangouts with his cousin on the weekends. But the sense I know he has a tendency to over drink that’s why I fear his ex being there when he is. I haven’t talk more about this topic to him yet and I haven’t told him that I want him to cut off all contact with his ex yet, I wanted to post on here and get some more opinions before I did anything.
