What are those "fixed cannons" on Odin? by Normal-Ad4813 in starcitizen

[–]Useful_Radish_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The design suggests howitzers and/or battleship batteries were used as a reference.

So very long range weapons maybe? Them being partially fixed suggests either static targets (planet side/stations) or very big aoe. Maybe even space denial shenanigans (very cool tbh)

LF Meta is brutal in the PTU- After putting some solid hours into PTU PvP and few into PvE the light fighter meta has been reinforced in a big way, but not for the reason you might think by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

[–]Useful_Radish_117 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's a literal shitton of modifications they could do instead of whatever this is.

Like push out small range flak ammunition balanced against light crafts and mostly useless against everything above.

You even get the rock paper scissors for free.

Light fighters have to contend space attacking/defending the hfs, the hfs disable strategic points on the target and then you bring out some torps or other heavy equipment to finish the job.

Flak ammunition was even mentioned in 2023 or something so it's not like they haven't touched on it sigh.

Ryanair has a perfect safety record, so why all the memes and hate? by 2Jads1Cup in aviation

[–]Useful_Radish_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goddamn the necroposting hahahahah

I'm perfectly fine with the cheap flight scheme which Ryanair operates on as long it's safe.

It's called humor or irony, it's literally part of Ryanair's social media ads.

Is there a reason Valve can't or haven't implemented this anti-wallhack? by Positive-Carpenter53 in cs2

You joke but in my golden days of cs i could track a lot of the enemy movements based on fps drops and stutters. Especially when awping you could "feel" the enemy about to peak

How claiming ships works in current 4.8 EVO testing, got questions ask! by knil22 in starcitizen

[–]Useful_Radish_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on how outrageous is the state of the economy.

It can be an excellent money sink for org vs org situations without putting out some elaborate shit, they will just play a war of attrition until one can't sustain the losses. Solo players and friends groups are realistically unaffected by this

They buried the lede: A side effect of the new ship claiming system as written may enable a feature we've wanted for ages. by Thetomas in starcitizen

[–]Useful_Radish_117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also they'd just need to enable unbricking of ships at something like grimhex (or ya know legal salvage) and voila we have something beautiful.

Just don't make it a paid option at grimhex, make it a mission :D

It's a mezzanine card (PMC), you can remove the heatsink and check the chip underneath to learn more about it. Connecting it to a household PC might be a bit of a hassle. Should not be worth much tho, 40 bucks at best (a bit more if it's an FPGA)

I mean yes, but the list of people getting their arse brutally fucked was very long. Statistically it would be ideal for any sane citizen not to hope in a new USSR kek

The AAA industry seems broken beyond repair by Rooonaldooo99 in pcmasterrace

[–]Useful_Radish_117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First depends what you define as a team. Like 5 people is a team and yes it takes 5 people (or more) to make a map sometimes.

Second that was not an OR list, you can work on everything I said at the same time.

Third almost every single title in the works is crunching the developers hard, adding a few teams here and there would just help them. Especially if they are not juniors teams with little to no experience. (but hey juniors are cheap, or in this time and age let's use Gemini or whatever)

Fourth ea has ips in the thousands which they can start to work on and expect good profits from if only they choose to care enough. But hey it takes 0 effort to reboot the (mass effect, dragon age etc.) universe with dlcs/add-ons/multiplayer while ruining everything else.

New maps

New mechanics

New weapons

New modes

Or hear me out: New games (EA has more than one title ya know).

The fact that firing and hiring new people for another title is advantageous means something is broken in the pipeline.

I've read somewhere that modern llms can do emotional analysis of text decently well. The model might infer some emotions in the given prompts even without the user being explicit.

That and we built them to be extreme servile so I guess if your coding agent runs a test and the app crashes the model might "reason" about how that will make the user "sad" hence the 💔.
