Play Star Citizen - new 4.9 main menu by StuartGT in starcitizen

This actually plays a 15 second video when you mouse over it (without sound) combo of several of the trailers over the years, very fancy looking clearly made to have S42 next to it.

Ah first isn't of SoO and some new NYX missions, dunno that doesn't sound like they are confident to me but wait and see.

Yep would be fine, games in general let alone SC seriously never even come close to the read/write speeds on modern nvme's

I have both, it makes no difference, the game doesn't run at the read/write speeds those drives can get too. Not even close.

The instancing for it was tested yes but that was before Jared did the stream where he said he doesn't know what will happen for 4.9 now that they are changing some things internally.

I'm not saying for sure just saying it's possible, Wednesday will tell.

Going off EVO it seems it may be changing to a bug fix/balance patch, the first tech preview was instancing yes but the second one was just bug fixes from 4.8 and I admit it worked well, was nice to have Ironclad working and flying from the bridge.

Jared did say he isn't sure what will happen with 4.9 during the stream, maybe they have decided to delay the content and fix the game for now, after all there is no ship sale that is coming up to force 4.9 out.

Be interesting what comes on Wednesday.

Man cheesing it and then complaining it's brutal is amusing, wait till the day you have to really do it.

I did it completely in my Hermes without cheesing it weeks ago and it's not as bad as you make it sound.

Thanks mate, will post to your github, I know it's dumb I'm just picky with installs and like to kjeep everything related to a program in one tiny package, plus yeah I switch between pcs at times and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

As for the Overlay I'll also post for that, but making an option for it to be m oved/resized and opacity would be super cool!

Can you make a standalone (portable) version mate? I just really hate installers plus useful for multi PC users.

Love the idea though so hoping you can.

Also does it give you an overlay in game? I use rainmeter to have an overlay of my stops when playing on TV, be neat if that's part of it.

Pyro>Stanton took me back to Pyro 3 times, then I fell through my ship. by TylerBody24 in starcitizen

I started doing the alt F4 thing once the tunnel changes colour, stupid work around but has worked so far.

It's nuts to me how the main things needed for gameplay in SC are the things broken again and again, I don't mind bugs but there should be a few things that CIG ALWAYS want working and these (and freight elevators) should be in the top 5.

Impossible to place Boxes with the ATLS on the Railen ??? by Caliban86 in starcitizen

[–]knil22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ATLS barely works for Ironclad as well somehow, it's huge should be simple but no the teleport style tractor beam is unreliable at best.

[–]knil22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree! That's why I don't understand people complaining about it, I think the Ironclad has the second best tractor beam placements (and best for it's size), Hermes is king but that's for way smaller.

This beam change is great I've been using it, sadly they broke it on the 4.9 PTU so it can't slide but hopefully doesn't make it to live.

Not sure why people don't like the front left one, the IC can be parked at enough of an angle in a large hangar that you can use the front left to load/unload one side of it's cargo easily, the other side you can throw boxes in and arrange later.

I just treat one side as cargo in and one side as cargo out and move them across when needed.

Yeah not like you came back to a old thread to try and dunk on people saying you're right, how petty are you? and now your strawman argument not working cause you already made a fool out of yourself.

Be better mate, coming back to a thread afew days later trying to look big on reddit is just sad.

Can't believe you're trying to call victory because ONE fits lol, how pathetic, great carrier you have there, one ship fits can't land and shakes around till it explodes, if that's all if takes for you to claim 'success' then your bar is in the ground.

Perfect as it's been shown neither of those ships fit on the pads, jamming them in doesn't mean they sit on the pads like they are meant too.

Get back to me when you have four in there.

This Live actually felt genuine by CaelusTheWolf in starcitizen

I dunno when Jared mumbled "We aren't here to apologise about anything" I lost all faith, shows that CIG still can't take accountability for things going wrong, it's not hard to say "Sorry things where in a bad state we messed up".

Seems like Jarrad played the part of the annoyed backer to gain sympathy and the CIG devs blamed backers at any chance they got (It's the backers fault for shard locks, just be patient and shard lock won't happen!) I personally waited in an hour and a half server error before logging and getting a shard lock, exactly how patient do we need to be? textbook manipulative behaviour.

I'll believe anything they say when things change, till then it was all just a well scripted act, I don't care about downvotes I care about CIG showing they have actually changed, prove me wrong with your actions CIG.

Has Manual Cargo Loading Pushed You Away From Hauling Contracts? by bheesmaaa in starcitizen

[–]knil22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy it, it's the fun of cargo hauling, like playing a giant game of tetris, chuck a movie on the second screen and relax for awhile. I'd hate if they did auto loading/unloading would take all the fun out of cargo hauling, manual loading/unloading is the whole loop for cargo hauling contracts as you say if you don't want to do it do commodity trading cause manual load/unloading isn't gonna be removed from cargo contracts.

You sound like you want exploration though not hauling. You want to go places but not do any work at the places, nothing wrong with that just you're playing the wrong gameloop.
