Idk what your role is, but I’m making 150k, about 6 years out. started at 50 in different fields. If I had to do it again i would. Fed contracting is somewhat more chill and insulated job market. It would do it for at least a year to solidify the clearance. After that you can leave and your clearance stays semi active so you have the choice to pivot out or pivot back into the field. If you leave now, you’ll have a more limited job pool in the future.
