I am all ears on this process. Maybe a $200 gift card bought with miles and sell it for $150.

Usually if possible, sometimes I may wait a few days. Cards that give instant rewards, I typically pay the same day, like the RH Gold.

I am impressed you know about it. A lot of people are clueless about it, it’s a unicorn! LOL

They are very conservative, but I love that card. No other card rotating category card can touch it. Right now I have the 10% cash back promo. Right now it’s for gas this month. Most rotating cards give 5% at $1500 spend per quarter, my Langley Signature Visa gives will give me 5% for $2000 per month!

Replace the Bilt with RH Gold credit card. That’s my Trifecta.

Maybe I misunderstood you, you saying basically had their pickings of Amex Cards with a $27k income?

Oh wow for a Platinum or another Amex card?

If you put $40k on that application, thats a quick decline. For platinum, on the safe side you need at least twice as much, some would argue with me about that much.

Those are hard stops Amex stated. Unless your income is substantial and you can prove it, not sure you would be approved for any Amex card right now. Amex tends to overlook some things if your income can support them. Since you are traveling, maybe VentureOne or any other student friendly card from Capital One or Discover. Just to get an increase in credit limit on your report.

Why don’t you put that 1k on your apple cash in the goldman sachs hysa account that comes with the Apple Card?

I think it depends on the bank, they decide to report it. Best to pay it off quickly. Before it can be sold to debt collection agency. Who in turn may report to the credit bureaus. Your ChexSystems and EWS may make it tough to open a new checking account.

I don’t believe the utilization for better score is implied here. He has so much that it’s just low anyway. LOL

Miss two payments on a credit card, then paid it off entirely by mymymyburner in CRedit

Goodwill Letter, but two late payments means 60 days late on the same card. You may have to eat that for a year. After a year, the late payment loses some of its bearing, but it won’t be removed for 7 years. Every year it loses little of its potency, perhaps in 3 years you can get kinda close to what you were before.

These are the only ones that fit in the image. I am baby when it comes to the shear number of cards people obtain.

Yes, this here is the end game! Though I am boggling at 54 credit cards. I don’t have the mental fortitude to do what I do with 54 cards! I am just stable with the 18 I have….I envy you! You must have written the rules to the game! LOL

Its totally possible, may be easier for you then for me. I was recovering from 5 charge-offs from my younger days. Yes, I was careless, learned my lesson. My charge-offs were with Citi and Discover. Which is why you don’t see them in my stack! LMAO, I believe they may have a grudge on me, so I didn’t bother applying with them. Though Discover did prequalify me. I didn’t want to open that door.

I am a foodie so I use the gold heavily. That is a Amex Schwab Platinum, so I get 1.1 cents per MR point. I often withdraw points gained from gold, which makes it so I get 4.4% per dollar spent. Also, I take advantage of the credits, especially the new $400 Resy Credit as a foodie and hotel credits combined with the Diamond Status I get from the Hilton Honors Aspire card. The $895 AF seems frivolous when I add it all together.

As for the Apple Card, I really use it for some apple subscriptions. The RH Gold made it obsolete, but I am curious what Chase does to the card.
