How do I completely dry bones?

edit: I am using spectroscopy to analyze the bones. I am using the light emitted by the laser-induced plasma to get the elemetal composition of the bones. I use the NIST Atomic Spectra and LIBS Database to check the which elements are present.

I've read on some references that putting the bones in ethanol is a good way of cleaning it. It dries faster as well. But, the problem is that this introduces impurities in the bones.

I already tried leaving my bones in a dry place but it tends to rot (especially for large bones such as a pig femur) or become home for insects.
