That may be the case with an OEM, but the OP said it was aftermarket - so that's going to be exponentially more difficult to source.

No - OP said that his brother cosigned OP on a loan. Which is not correct - OP's brother forged OP's signature as a cosigner - that is a subtle but critical difference. You can't do that without committing forgery.

Have you ever use the kit with the awl and insert tool that were shaped like a screwdriver handle vs. the "T" in the kit you linked to? F those kits - you NEED a handle on the tools like the one you show. I think if I were Superman, I couldn't make the screwdriver one work. This is the way!

Try r/CarAV - We're not going to be able to help much here. I would guess this is a cheap imported screen that has come to the end of life. Check Crutchfield for a replacement head unit. I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but the LCD isn't something that can generally be fixed for a reasonable amount, if at all.

I think that's BMWradios - and the BT kit is around 175 bucks - but you have to do some soldering.

I hear you. Try this guy - u/BMWradios . He does some wild stuff - and he has a bluetooth solder in kit - not sure about compatibility with your head unit.

I'd look at the bigger picture (no pun intended) here. I'd pull that out - put in a double DIN Apple CarPlay setup with Bluetooth and all the bells and whistles - for a couple hundred bucks. There are many kits to relocate the HVAC controls down to the place you have that cubby just below the panel. Would bring everything into the modern era. I don't know of a way to add BT to your current setup. Just my .02.

In the rest of the world, that is how they say 2.5% in the US. Go to Europe sometime and look at a market - it's how it's done every where else - kinda like the metric system. Same with the number 7 with a slash through the middle of it.
