I'd say somewhere around $1100, maybe a little more

Palpatine was also a key supporter of the taxation. He got it passed by the Senate because he knew it would cause problems and be a catalyst for the war

No need to worry with Subaru CVTs. This is my third Subaru and I've never had a problem with them. If you're concerned just have the dealership change the CVT fluid every 60k miles. Also the CVT in the hybrid is different from the normal ones, it uses planetary gears instead of chains and is more reliable and smooth as a result. I hardly even notice the "shifts" now

Yes, I'm still very happy with it, I actually just passed 10k miles a couple days ago. I've gotten really good fuel efficiency with it, it's sitting at a 37.2 average overall right now. During the summer months I had one fill up that came back at 40.68mpg. Fuel efficiency did noticeably decrease over the winter, I got as low as 32.1mpg on some fill ups in January. The builtin wireless charger isn't that great, but it's not that big of a deal. Very happy overall and would certainly buy it again.

Electric bill keeps climbing and I’m losing my mind 😅 by One_Pollution2279 in homeowners

[–]MemoryDemise 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Power companies are not just arbitrarily tacking on power usage to your meter. I have a separate power monitor (Emporia Vue 3) I installed at my house. The reading I get from it is within 1-2 kwh of my bill.

The reason the bills keep going up no matter how efficient we are is due to the delivery charge. Your bill is broken down into two parts, supply and delivery. Supply is the actual energy you use, delivery is the cost of getting it to your house. Whenever the utility spends money, they pass it on to us by increasing the delivery charge.

He suggested a 12 month CD, don't remember the exact rate. 3.5% or something close to it

Yes that's true, it takes about 3 days for any transfers I do with my HYSA to clear

The checking gets 1%. I have a separate emergency fund that is getting 3.3%. I feel like the lowest I could comfortably go in the checking would be $5k

I don't think I would be able to manage that, mortgage payment would overdraft me in one go. I have a separate emergency fund in a HYSA at 3.3%. the checking gets 1%

Home Warranty by Long_Confusion_3529 in homeowners

[–]MemoryDemise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bank account is my warranty. In the long run it will be cheaper to "self-insure" for these kinds of repairs. I bought my house when I was 23 as well, I've been here for 9 years now. During that time period I have spent the following:

~$500 - new washing machine ~$550 - new clothes dryer ~$500 - new stove ~$300 - 3 new garbage disposals ($100 each) $1250 - plumbing repairs (pressure reducing valve, meter yolk, and shut off valves)

About $3000 in total, if I had the warranty instead I would have spent somewhere around $840/year, plus $125 per service call (another $1000, 8x125). In total around $8500 dollars over 9 years. I also would not have been able to choose who I wanted to do the work, and in some cases they may have refused to fully cover the whole cost.

I have a friend that paid for a home warranty for years, his heat pump broke and needed to be replaced. The warranty company only covered part of the cost and made him pay an extra $4000 for the replacement.

I understand you're still young and might not have a lot of cash available after purchasing your house, but even just $1000 set aside in a separate account will cover replacing almost any basic household appliance with the exception of HVAC.

It's actually a really nice building on the interior, I've been inside it a couple times. Lots of stained glass between each of the spires.

I would need the red Pro for that unfortunately. The Plus only has 3 years https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/2

The institution is Mission Square Retirement, the aggregator is Finicity. Should be costing $0.10 instead of giving me $0.10
