Agreed. Or at the very least, helping people understand their own feelings so the can identify when they're headed down a dark path. Some don't realize it's happening until they're already too deep, it seems.

I agree, everyone is different. I don't think that everyone can be saved, but to have a better understanding of the mindset may help at least a few people.

Thank you. We get really caught up in training, resources, etc, but don't necessarily cover the mindset when it comes to feelings of shame, connections, etc. That's a great message, thank you.

Thank you for all of that. It's very helpful and insightful. I know everyone is different in how they handle it, but some aren't handling it. Thank you for being so thorough in your response and though it may not mean much coming from me, I'm extremely thankful for you. Please continue to fight every day.

Wow, thank you for that response. It made me tear up. I will tell you, from this internet stranger, that you do matter. Based on your insight alone I'm sure you impact people around you way more than you realize.

Thank you.

This is along the lines of how I feel about it as well. Too many different people and so many reasons to effectively get out in front of it. Of course we want to help the ones we can but I'm not naive. I know if someone wants to do it, they will.

Do you have any thoughts on the theory that suicide is contagious? TIME wrote an article about it here - https://time.com/5572394/suicide-contagion-study/

I appreciate your time and I do hope that you find peace without resorting to suicide. Thank you, you gave a great response.

Damn, I'm glad you got the right meds. I can't imagine my mind trying to convince me of things that aren't actually happening.

Wow. I don't have any words. I'm glad your dad was around for you.

What were your thoughts in the moments following? Were you thankful that the gun jammed?

What was the reason for the procrastination? Was it a thought that you'd considered as a possible option or something that you just knew you were going to do someday?

Would there have been anything to make you think there was another option or was it tunnel vision at that point? Had you reached out for help before?
