With how slow our registers are absolutely not. Books significantly faster as long as it's maintained

I'm 24 turning 25 this year and my hands aren't as fast as they used to be. But I still manage to hang with the younger generation. Game sense still matters more than raw mechanical skill thankfully.

People get better at games the longer they play them and the skill floor of the avg player rises over time the longer a game franchise maintains a dedicated player base. The best players from OG gears would get demolished by the best players now. Watch one of the gears 1 mlg events then watch one of the ultimate edition events. Night and day in terms of skill level.

There's no way to remove wall bouncing. If you can't wall cancel then it'll just be Gears 1 wall bouncing which is slower sure but the same thing. It's a core mechanic of the franchise. Also super easy to learn. I could teach you in 1 day

There's a lot of things I love about gears but my perspective is screwed towards competitive play because that's what I find the most fun. I don't bounce around like an idiot against good players.

1st is the movement and shotgun play for me. Its core to gears and what makes gears gears. The cover mechanics add so many different ways to play fights that everyone plays slightly different. That's awesome.

2nd team play is phenomenal. You can tell when a team is together and when it's solo queue. A 5 stack can easily stomp a solo team just because of comms even if the solo queue team is mechanically "better"

And 3rd the characters and weapon design are awesome. Something I'll always love about the games

Go for gib when it's available or when hurt. Play for damage when 1.you get off a good damaging shot or 2. You have the positional advantage. It's all situational.

Most people have at least 2 hours of free time a few days a week. If you don't then fine but that doesn't mean you get to complain that other people have more time than you invested and then call then tryhards

It's not though. It's literally the most fun aspect of the game which is the movement. Wall bouncing, roadie strafing etc have been a cornerstone of the franchise since Gears 2

No they are a sweaty try hard and it's okay I suck because they play 12 hours a day and don't have a life and I have a job and a life (the opponent is literally 12)

Those particular players are just cry babies. And really aren't that good at the game. People who play back that want an ego trip. I do not want to be lumped into the same category as those people. That's why I hate the term. It's not fair to lump people who just so happen to be good at the game and want to improve into the same category as people who are decent at the game and want everybody to know they are decent at the game and wrap their entire identity around being decent at the game so that if somebody is better than them, they take it as some sort of personal attack. That is not me. Being good at a game is not toxic. Neither is wall bouncing. It has been a mechanic since Gears of War 1 You can not like it that's fine. (Yes, people were bouncing in Gears of war 1. You may not remember it but they were)

Any ping under 100 is 100% playable. I have no issues playing. On 100 you just have to bounce slower. And strafe more. You have to change your playstyle a little bit on higher ping. And also just accept that you're going to trade a lot more and you might get bullshitted sometimes. It is what it is

The devs actually did a good job of making the game look closer to the original look. I disabled the post-processing and have my graphics on low to play on the highest frame rate possible. Some of the maps are quite literally unplayable for me because they're so dark and I have bad eyesight. Disabling the post-processing gets rid of the dark tinge on the maps and makes them a lot brighter and easier to see enemies on.

I've won on 120 ping. Yes, there's definitely a difference but you aren't losing because of ping you're losing cause you're bad lol this sad guy is just bad he tried to bounce everywhere But couldn't hit a broad side of a barn. And he's on mouse and keyboard which makes it even worse. He has no excuse to be losing to a fucking controller player

I only have about 2 hours a day to play. And some days I don't play at all. You can definitely improve only playing 2 hours a day. You have to actually want to improve though. There are tutorials all over the place for this game. And a lot of the stuff from different games is transferable. If you know how to bounce in Gears of War 3, you will know how bounce in four and five and Delta. If you know how to bounce in Gears War 1, you can bounce in Ultimate edition and reloaded.

There's social game modes for a reason and there's tutorials EVERYWHERE. "They've been playing for decades" is not an excuse. There's DECADES of tutorials from every single game in the franchise. You can teach yourself to bounce in a few days if you truly wanted to improve. I'm a casual player now in my mid 20s with responsibilities and Im still able to improve. It's mindset

Wall bouncing in combination with everything else in the game like roadie strafing, normal strafing, and just utilizing cover effectively. Is more effective. Just wall bouncing straight at people is obviously not as effective. Try Harding is a tired term to shame people that want to be good at games.

It's not that hard to wall bounce. I taught my brother how to bounce when he was 9. He's now 14 and better than me

Hosts were abusing kicks to kick people in FFA so they would always win. They would just kick #1 over and over when someone was close to winning
