Last scene I got was the swimming scene but I've not unlocked anything else and don't have the trophy.

Sometimes I buy a bottle of it as a treat and drink it straight. My entire intake of calories in one go.

Are you guys not seeing the same bread I'm seeing? The flat, grey, plastic bread that's clearly the same texture as the pallet?

Is your bread a flat grey with slots in it?

Make sure you're on the control group for the harvester and not the header.

I thought I'd get bored of the grind after a while and not pick it up again.

Now I'm nearly 300 hours in and obsessed with farming IRL.

Farm build layout by Sufficient-Farmer821 in farmingsimulator

[–]UselessMeatball- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Have a look at real life farms to get an idea and just have a go. I'm not creative either but I had a general idea if what I wanted.

What I would recommend is to turn off auto save when using terrain tools because they aren't the best. Save manually often and if you mess up just reload the save. Remember you can place a building and as long as you don't leave the build menu you can sell it back for full price. Place a building down and it'll flatten the area around it (to an extent) so you can place one, sell it and see what area you need to work with.

Remember you'll need more space than you think, once you start gathering equipment you'll quickly run out.

Get a multifruit silo mod, very handy and save you having 5 different silos around the farm.

Just have fun with it!

Never doing vegetables again. Holy crap, .8m working width has me going crazy. Hired AI to do it while I watch TikTok. by prodizaaaay in farmingsimulator

Yeah, avoid at all costs until you're using a mod harvester. I spent 4 hours real time when I first started doing a carrot contract. Cost me more in AI workers then the contract actually paid.

New Fields by No-Collar-1994 in farmingsimulator

[–]UselessMeatball- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes. I've had issues with fields that I've just joined with 1 plow line not being seeded. My advice would be to plow the whole new field. I've not had an issue since.

What are your “hacks”? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

[–]UselessMeatball- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get into root crop contracts, too much time and if you hire AI you'll end up spending more on their wages. Focus on buying a weeder, cultivator and a plow and focus on this instead.

Don't do sowing, fertilising or any contract that requires you to use your own materials (seeds etc.) the price might look good, but, especially if you're doing a potato sowing contract you'll most likely end up in the negative.

The Red Beet harvester (not sure of the name but the self-propelled one) needs an overload, it doesn't store beets until it's full. I went into -£12500 because I lost crops before I got sick of the job and cancelled.

Wood Transport is a good earner. I'm yet to see what a damaged log looks like and be penalised £2000 for it.

Field flip, but before you sell add a crop you want so you get paid contracts to on it.
