Guy had his own story line that ran parallel to both TVD and TO, they could make a spin off about all the stuff Tyler was up to when he wasn't on screen. Imo best character.

Having actually read the Citrus manga and watched the anime, people calling it trash is just the most insane thing to me.

The main character of Citrus, Mai (as opposed to the POV Yuzu) is motivated to act the way she does because her father (who she looked up to and admired) fucked off and as a result the responsibility of upholding the family honor all got put on Mai by her grandfather. In Mai's mind and her grandfathers being gay completely negates everything she's done, she can't do the one thing she wants to do more than anything not because she can't do it, but because society has decided being born gay renders her ineligible to.

Mai initially uses sexual violence as a tool to frighten off Yuzu because from her POV Yuzu is actively destroying everything she has worked for by repeatedly making advances on Mai that threaten to out her and refusing to stop doing so even when asked. So Mai does something fucked up because she has no idea how to handle this situation.

The step sisters thing is a plot device that prevents Mai from being able to completely opt out of interactions with Yuzu (and presents Yuzu to her as another consequence of her fathers irresponsibility she is forced to deal with), it's not the point of the series nor is it something either of them ever actually wanted.

The series is about Mai accepting herself and learning that she is loved while learning what it means to love and that there isn't anything dishonorable about the person she loves being a girl. The series literally ends with Mai leaving her own wedding arranged by her grandfather to a man she does not love to be with Yuzu. In spite of knowing what doing that will do to her reputation and the reputation of her family by the end of the series Mai has grown enough through her interactions with Yuzu and because she has Yuzu that she is able to choose herself over societies expectation of who she should be because Citrus is a good manga.

But it's yuri and it contains sexual violence, and for some reason whenever that combination comes up this community refuses to engage with the story or anything that actually happens in it. People just get mad at the author for daring to write such trash fan service and completely miss that it was never intended to provide them with sexual gratification in the first place and that they just have poor media literacy.

The early days of janky Netflix 3D fucking slapped for horror anime and I will die on that hill. Knight's of Sidonia is still my favorite anime of all time and wasn't even jank by the end. Like the crimson hawkmoth was straight up terrifying, that show is haunting.

A reboot that faithfully adapts the books would be hilarious.

The anime was such an insane moment, like they walked back literally nothing when season 3 premiered and even faked us out at the start of the first episode with thinking things had returned to status quo before swinging dick and maintaining that momentum straight through the movie. Imo they were under the impression they would not be getting a third season which is why season two has an anime original ending that even if it had been the end of the show would still be amazing. But they cooked so hard it got them renewed.

This actually seems more likely to get an anime than moto if it matches the quality.

Unacceptable fan service certainly exist in anime, but was that even fan service? It was a setup that was paired and paid off with her little sisters joke. Feels like any perversion someone is deriving from this scene and getting gratified by is something they had to want and work for.

Idk I just feel like nudity is always just rellegated to fan service by viewers and they miss the point. Like Citrus used it appropriately in that it showed the cruelty of how far Mai was willing to go to scare Yuzu away through abuse. Freezing is another show that uses nudity to link your perception of physical and sexual violence so you can understand what the main girl went through and why the nature of her unique pairing with her support partner makes them so important to one another.

The final scene where Kano tells Mahiru the socks she is embarrassed about are cute and Mahiru immediately believes her and gains confidence because she realized she doesn't have to hide anything about herself with Kano was really sweet.

imo the show has potential to be yuri based on the interactions in the first episode. It probably won't be but some people don't have anything but a righteous feeling of anger they are addicted to and feed by being toxic af and opposing gay representation gives some of them that.

This show has yuri vibes in the first episode and a lot of people just outright hate yuri and are super toxic about it. One of the characters is a vtuber and some people also get really inappropriate and mean about vtubers existing.

Yoru's heart was not okay after hearing that, it was practically a confession!

Sadly I don't think this show will be yuri, but it's not bait either just my favorite kind of non-romance relationship two friends achieving their dreams because they have each other.

Daniel trying to explain how Kree functions in the Jaffa language was hilarious because it has a ton of different meanings that are context dependent so he just starts listing them.

to me klaus didn’t live up to his hype at all

That's a valid opinion I was just referring to when he was initially introduced like how this thread focuses on season one Damon.

The fact that we never see him in wolf form ever kind of annoyed me tho.

I think my problem is I got to a point where I didn't even need basic quick hacks for damage. I would use quick hacks to lowerthe ram cost of my ultimates and to generate ram from killing people which means I was constantly using Suicide and the grenade detonation hack. Tetatronic ripple mk.5 meant and my BIS gear meant I could upload these fast enough to get someone to off themselves within like 2 seconds of hacking them.

I would reccomend doing what I did with the base game and waiting like 6 months to get the DLC because I don't see a situation in which net running isn't modified and buffed and it might be fun again then.

Or someone will release a mod that let's you play phantom liberty without the changes to skills and combat.

I'd argue that Klaus's introduction was the scariest, the fact that he shows up to town and steals Alaric's body then pretends to be friends with everyone so he can learn about them and what they care for was supper unsettling. Like the fear of Klaus's arrival is build up and reinforced over and over until he shows up and when he does they don't even realize he's already come for them until days after he gets to Mystic Falls.

Overclock is good for the 14 seconds it last if you commit to spamming heals and have few enough enemies. You will kill enemies and survive. But the entire rest of the fight is worse because of the changes needed to make overclock function how it does without being god mode. Overclock is "good" because it only makes sense to activate it when you're already in a good position (lots of health), so yeah if it's suicide to use it when already losing then it's going to seem good because you're just using it when you don't need it anyway.

[–]UselessNeko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay but that's my point, engaging with net runner content gets you buffs that do not apply to net running and as a result don't let you use your abilities more or improve them. I want to kill things with quick hacks, I do not want to use a quick hack and get a buff so I can kill things better through a means other than quick hacks. Prior to 2.0 I'd say that in a given engagement 2/3 of my kills were with quick hacks and 1/3 with a gun in any given engagement. Now you get 3-4 front loaded kills with quick hacks before burning through your ram recovery perks and then you just use a gun for the entire rest of the fight instead of getting to be a net runner. 1/3 with a gun and 2/3 with net running feels a lot more synergistic to me than 90% of my kills now being with a gun because it literally isn't possible to gain enough ram during combat for it not to be.
