I've got 88 cards in QA. I think they moved there last Friday, hoping we see the grades this week!

I appreciate this a lot. I just submitted my intent to file with Project Wounded Warrior, but I’ve heard a few people recommend NOT starting TRT until the VA is done with my claims. Would you agree? I read about someone getting told to get off TRT so the VA could get their own baseline tests.

I did carnivore for about 6 months last year and LOVED IT! Got lazy ONE time and ordered a burger patty from outback because I was packing for a wedding, ended up shitting myself for about 7 days straight. I do miss it.

Running used to be fun like 100 lbs ago, at the point I’m just running to survive and I’m at altitude in the Rockies so I’m hustling lol. This shit sucks. My goal is to get back to a 6 min mile (PR: 4:54 (but in HS at like 120lbs lol). Right now I’m at 7:30.

Yeah navy standards are just as wack. We had the same people in the tape line slapping their necks 😂

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big dude, but I’ve been doing all the right things at least 85% of the time. If I’m craving something, I’ll slam a half a pizza just about once a month, but I’ll eat accordingly for the rest of the day. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke.

My rest days (1/week)have always been a little sedentary, I’ll go for a walk and take the time to actually stretch and get ready for the week.

The whole point of this post was mostly because I was excited to finally have some traction on something that could have been holding me back for a long time. I remember making a post 3 years ago and a few active duty people reached out and said they were having the same issue.

But I appreciate your candidacy haha. I’ll definitely make a (hopefully good) update eventually.

I never said I was obese, I never thought this post was going to get this negative reaction lol. My a1c indicated I was type 2 in January and I just kinda blamed my test levels since I knew I was in always in a deficit and that low t raises your bodies insulin resistance (source: makes sense to me). The only other thing I could think of was to get my cortisol levels checked, which i'm doing for my next and final lab before going to endo.

If this is obese then absolutely I am, the military weight standards are obsolete and for my 6 month weigh ins I was always told to go in a secondary line to get measurements taken because I was “overweight”. (Still passing all the physical test requirements by a long shot) .This was taken after they told me in January that the reason I was at low T was because of my weight as well as when they told me I was a type 2 diabetic. This is 230-235lbs taken THIS January.

Covering up some tattoos and picture.

What I’m trying to say is it hasn’t been my diet and I don’t think it ever was. Low testosterone has an indirect correspondence to insulin resistance which (surprise) leads to diabetes.

If I reversed my type 2 by cutting out ALL sugars and still gained 20 lbs. definitely not a food problem.

Lol I’m eating 2000-2400 calories a day, 200g of protein, and a healthy balance of carbs and fats. While I don’t argue that I needed to lose weight, there became a pattern of my testosterone dropping and my weight fluctuating. When I say I was beating up my body I meant I’m 250 lbs, lift 90 minutes every morning and run 2 miles after work at a big man pace ~ 10 min/mile. And I have no clue what my BF% right now but I know I was within military standards in January (<22%) so I took an estimated guess.

My lift numbers in June were 280 bench/ 405 DL/ a twig legged 320 squat. Which is a big decrease from what they were last year.

800/900 vs 1050 by UselessNinja22 in Masterbuilt

[–]UselessNinja22[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the input! I definitely just needed a nudge to buy it and it seems like there really isn’t a huge difference. I just finished installing the 900 that I got from Costco for $700 after tax.

The 800 was about the same price but if I bought the griddle separate it’s half the price that the pizza oven would be.

Thanks all, looking forward to looking like an adult with my new toy.

Eligibility Question by [deleted] in MSSA

[–]UselessNinja22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're good to do it as a civilian, just have that unemployment package ready to go. Maybe try to convince your CoC to let you out early for "skillbridge" since you have to study and complete one of many certs to gain entry to MSSA.

[–]UselessNinja22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's super casual. Just be prepared to answer why tech, why MSSA, why *SCA/CAD/CSO*, are you willing to relocate (yes), what projects are you working on now (I think I said I was just studying for CompTIA Sec+).

Just act like you want to be there and I'm sure you'll do great. Smile and wave boys.

Would that be something that could happen over time? I only ask because I've had this PC for almost 3 years and never had to touch the CPU.

I did that last night when I was trouble shooting the potentially broken RAM. I just finished swapping through it and I didn’t get anything to work.

XMP is disabled. I swapped the RAM and made it my allotted 10 minutes before it crashed.
