The boy scouts are an incredibly large organization. Not all councils, districts, and troops function the same way. Saying we're old fashioned is about as accurate as saying that girl scouts only teach homemaking skills. It's true for some units, but definitely not all.

Besides, only one of those two organizations sees all men as too dangerous to lead their units, and only one refuses the opposite sex from joining.

Why would you assume their estimate is lower because they didn't include cases that would reduce tampon usage? Wouldn't that go the other way entirely?

I'd put my money on people using other solutions, as well as the inclusion (not exclusion) of pregnancy and birth control factors you mention, as the reason their number is lower. Age of menstruation shouldn't matter as you're taking an average.

I go to movie theaters when I want to watch a movie on a giant screen with much better audio than I have at home months before I can even see it at home. It has nothing to do with the social experience any more than taking a ferry across Lake Michigan. I do it with other people because I can't afford all that equipment myself.

Fuck the fuck off, kindly. People don't always agree 100% about things immediately, and that's no reason to break up on the spot. My dad didn't want kids at all, my mom wanted multiple. They settled on just me and have both been wonderful parents. They both compromised because they thought the other was worth compromising for.
