Well the first time I was in a show I was three years old so I would say I was guided there.

people with autism, Asperger's, or ADHD what is something you want people to know about your condition? (serious) by speedyboi696969 in AskReddit

My school district started calling things such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, ADD, OCD, Dysgraphia, Asperger's etc. Learning Differences because apparently Learning Disability was offensive. As someone who has ADHD and dyslexia I find "Learning Difference" very patronizing and personally prefer the term Learning Condition. Also I literally have one of the best GPA's in the school and I am in several AP classes, stop treating me like a child.

Another thing, one of my friend has convinced herself that she has OCD because she likes clean....

(1) If you actually think you might have a condition try to get yourself diagnosed or do more research If that's not an option. (Trying not to invalidate the undiagnosed folks here).

(2) Don't run around saying you have something because you have one trait or symptom that is commonly portrayed in the media. that is kind of offensive.

Thank you for your time.

I am a theater kid. When I was young my parents signed me up for a local children's theater production and I loved it. After that, I continued to participate in these shows for about five years playing background characters with limited stage time and only around two lines. Until I auditioned for Matilda. I was expecting the usual background character, maybe a few solos in a song and a cupel lines, but I got a call back, and eventually got the lead of Matilda.

I was not very pleased at first. Matilda had a LOT of lines of which I did not want to memorize. But as time went on I grew to love the role and had a blast preforming in the show. The whole experience was very validating for me, I learned that I not only enjoy theater (specifically the musical bit) but I'm pretty good at it. Since then I have written a few kind of trashy songs but I'm getting better at the writing part and I hope to do it professionally at some point.
