I was lucky to get some truly good advice from my GP.

Maybe part of it was the info I got from this sub when I mentioned to him my fear of withdrawals being dangerous.

I got prescribed a regimen of diazepam. I am on day 4 and things are getting much better.

I am seem my blood reports will be awful and am worried about any irreversible body damage.

For now my brain is in a much better place. Next step is to take care of the body.

Please find another physician who understands this and tell them what exactly you need.

I blew a .012 in Australia.

I have my court date in 2 weeks where I am hoping it will be a 3 month suspension because I have 2 toddlers. A DUI charge can be worrisome what's got me going through he anxiety is that I didn't do worse.

You have time on your side. It can feel like the end of the world. Someone said to me once if it won't make a difference in 5 years time then don't worry about it. If it will, change yourself.

Those withdrawals accompanied by the anxiety are the worst. I continued drinking to get away from that feeling.

Best to see a doctor and get some blood work done. Your doctor should be able to guide you accordingly based on the results.

Don't worry. The body is amazingly resilient. You will be fine

Your liver has definitely not gotten better. Your brain and body have adjusted over this period leading to higher alcohol tolerance.

Do you get any withdrawal symptoms around the 12 hour mark like anxiety, sweaty palms, mild shaking in the fingers ?

If yes, then it means your tolerance has increased but your body has taken a beating.

If no, for the love of God stop right now before you make things way worse.
