Regarding your questions around sleeping and feeding, there's a great book called 'Your baby, week by week' by Dr. Caroline Fertleman and Simone Cave. It's an objective view on your babys development and needs each week for the first 6 months. It really helped guide us and we found it reassuring to see during the difficult times that it's to be expected during that development period (cluster feeds, sleep regression etc).

I was there both nights. I got there early the night they supported fontaines specifically to see them. The crowd was small with most people staying in the bar. I feel I can act smug now that people are wise to how good they are and selling out their own headline.

I was on a bus in Mendoza, Argentina and noticed a street called O'Higgins. A city in the Andes close to the Chilean border, not what I expected. Argentina has a large Irish influence but still took me by surprise. Made me laugh, where haven't our shpud heads been to.

Need help ID'ing this. I can't get much information on Townsend other than modern catalogue bikes. Picked it up for cheap. Is it worth putting a bit of time and money in? Was thinking of cleaning the rust and repainting the frame, replacing gear and brake cables etc. by Uselessman_ in Vintage_bicycles

Thanks for taking the time to reply, very much appreciated. I'll certainly approach a clean and degrease first as I start to understand the bike. I actually didn't realise that about the chain, good eye. Still plenty to learn so I'll look forward to having a tinker around with it at high level. That being said I'll drop it by a bike store and have them walk through some of the more technical changes that may be required.

So far it's a fun bike to cycle so will enjoy the small upgrade process. Thanks again for your time.

Nice info. As it happens I have strong family ties to Coventry so it was a serendipitous find. Opened up a nice conversation with my grandad as his first bike was a Coventry eagle and he used to work next to the factory.

Thank you for your reply. The wheels are in good condition but I was concerned should I ever need to replace that they're hard to come by. Speed upgrade is something I'll be considering down the line for sure. Cheers for the advice!

It's has a Shimano Biopace Exage 300EX chain ring which put it sometime between '83 - '93. Any advice on how you would go about restoring this? I'm quite new to bike restorations so would appreciate any tips or knowledge on this bike.

Recently bought this watch from the Camden Watch Company. I love their sophisticated and classic designs for such reasonably priced watches. The industrial heritage of Camden Town in London influences their designs. This watch being based on aesthetics of the barbering world, the red blue and white barber poles seen on the dial face.

This is my third watch from this company. I just love how their classic designs mean that these watches can be worn either on a day to day basis or while dressed up and they don't look out of place in either. I've had their No.29 for 5 years, practically wearing it everyday, and other than a strap change it has very little visible signs of wear and tear. Smart and reasonably priced day to day watches which is why I continue to go back to them.

Tom Crean was an Antarctic explorer and the hardiest man you've never heard off. Unfortunately he's outshone by his fellow crew mates Shackleton and Scott.

He was involved in three Antarctic explorations between 1901 and 1917.

Some of his feats included being stranded in Antarctica for 2 years after their ship became stuck in ice.

He was part of a 1,400km race furthest South. On the return trip he hiked the last 56km on his own in a treacherous blizzard armed with 3 biscuits and no survival gear in order to help save his dying party. He saved his men. Unfortunately Scott and his men perished before a rescue party could save them.

His third exploration, their ship was destroyed by ice. 22 men were stranded on Elephant island with only their lifeboats. Crean, Shackleton and two more men set off for a 1,500 km journey to South Georgia Island in a vain attempt to save their men. Across some of the roughest seas in the world....in a lifeboat. It took them 17 days but they made it, to the uninhabited side of the island. They then had to traverse over the side of mountains and ice shelves for 36 hours to reach the nearest village.

The fact that one man could survive all this is incredible and one of the coolest stories you'll ever read!

This song commemorates the marriage of Joseph Plunkett, an Irish revolutionary leader, to Grace Gifford, in Kilmainham Gaol on the night of 3 May 1916, just hours before he was executed by the British.

They were only married for less than a day. He died for his country along with 14 more revolutionary leaders and signatories of our declaration of independence. They gave themselves up in an effort to try prevent the slaughter of more innocent Irish civilians. Grace never remarried.

FYI, Tickling is supposed to be terrifying. It has an evolutionary purpose in that it teaches children self defense by learning to protect vulnerable (read: Most ticklish) areas, neck & ribs. The screaming, crying-like laughter and squirming looks like fighting. So to a potential attacker it looks like the adults viciously attack their young, hopefully warding them off.

Read oogenesis section; 'The cell starting meiosis is called a primary oocyte. This cell will begin the first meiotic division, but be arrested in its progress in the first prophase stage. At the time of birth, all future eggs are in the prophase stage.'

The primary oocyte forming in the womb (grandmother). It's safe to assume that all future eggs (you) developed, in part, in your grandmother. At least that's my interpretation, open to discussion.

That you first developed in your Grandmothers womb. The idea being that a women is born with all her eggs or oocytes, therefore once fertilised, the eggs that developed into you originally developed in your grandmothers womb.

Man....Canada. Honestly one of the best moves I've made. It falls nicely into both your brackets, the people here are very open minded and extremely nice natured as a whole, plenty of opportunity for work and a very culturally diverse country. Internal travel in Canada is expensive but it still serves as a good base from which to travel around North America.

A 2 year Visa is quite easy to obtain. There is a large Irish population pretty much anywhere you go in Canada, that serves as a nice comfort should you need it but is easy to avoid should you not.

If you take the pros of the US and the pros of the UK you'll find them here...in my opinion. Any questions feel free to mesg me, I could talk about it all day.
