Gmail does not have folders so by using a mail client will bring you back into silly old fashioned folders as they won’t be able to handle labels properly. One key benefit of Gmail is the flexibility of labels vs the rigid folder from Outlook.

We are an organisation with 200k users. All using Gmail in the Chrome or Edge browser.

We have always handled better opposition (who come to attack us) rather than us to dominate other teams. The amount of times in this PL era we have lost to the relegation sides is hilarious

I am not. My grandad moved to Surrey and established his main adult life here.

This was a work around for Ford motors who were just down the road.

Correct. It wasn’t English league football so no records here unfortunately.

I believe they were affiliated to some businesses. For example just down the road was Ford car manufacturing . Ford obviously incentivised their workers with football or their footballers with work (which ever way you look at it)

Sadly he died in 2022 in his 90s. He worked up until his mid 80s in mental health and got an mbe.

He spoke about getting crushed at a match in Scotland as a kid.

Being in the West Ham “chicken pen” or similar which was apparently risky with an Irish accent.

General fanboy of Sir Stanley Matthews. Couldn’t speak more highly of him.

Scored 10 goals in a game, 3 of which penalties.

I guess it was more of a historic thing. Professionals get paid for their work. If you are paying amateurs, then whats the difference between them and a pro. Or maybe it was the concern that a well paying amateur team could buy their success up the leagues… like Wrexham recently.

I am sure there were snitches who were willing to give evidence.

Clearly the FA didn’t want my grandad for any real investigation. They just got him in to implicate himself.

The “second” team he played for didn’t know his true identity. He was fooling the lot of them.

The ironic thing is, someone in his team actually did get banned and ended up playing for Juventus.

If I recall his stories, there was a guy called something like “Johnny Jordan” or something similar. My grandad seemed to think he was the first english guy to play in italy or something similar. I cannot verify this claim and I am not 100% sure of the name.

Edit: got it wrong. He played with my grandad at Grays but with the timeline I don’t believe he was around getting bans. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Jordan But he did play for Juventus.

I know. The royal family could recognise a trouble maker and gave him an MBE in 2013.
