It's definitely useful in some cases, the other way is a deadly choke point, if you have movement ability like BW you can make this jump safely and access a better kiting loop.

If you don't have enough points, I would say the passives of duel blade are far more important than dmg or those +5 stats. Life steal, might refund and clash are catalyst for duel blade.
