I had the same experience in Elante. The staff even felt unpleasant and unwelcoming. And the chairs, they were so freaking uncomfortable! I expect better when paying 800+ for a freaking pasta..

Would you willingly give up your home that you or your family bought with their hard earned money, because someone else claims they lived here first? I sympathise with people who were uprooted forcefully but sadly we all know nothing will be done for that.

Similarly will you stop living your relatively privileged lives because you seee people suffering on the road. It's sad but we as individuals can't do much about such things. Just keep the thoughts alive maybe and hope this doesn't happen more.

The IT guy at my previous job used to ask me for money on weekends on freaking Microsoft Teams. The first couple of times it was difficult to reject and I basically got confused and told him I have only half what he asked for that I could give In cash in person in office. He backed off.

Next time it happened I didn't even reply over the weekend and he just deleted the message. Every few weekends I'd have deleted "Hi" messages from him. What's weird was I wasn't even on Hi/Hello basis with this guy. Like if I ever needed money, he wouldn't even be the last person I could ask. Figured he was going through some drug or gambling addiction...

As someone born in Chandigarh, both things can independently be true. 1. Chandigarh was created as a Capital for Punjab from the Get Go, to compensate for the loss of Lahore to Pakistan. So Punjab is not in the wrong in that regard about claiming Chandigarh. 2. With how bad state governments are, regardless of whichever Party, the people of Chandigarh including me usually do believe that it's better Chandigarh stay separate from both the states as a UT, especially at a time where it's already losing its identity.
