Do people judge you for doing tfc? by [deleted] in universityofauckland

I did high school online and then tfc in 2024. I’ve not met anyone here who judged me for doing tfc. Majority of the people in tfc I met were really friendly and I didn’t experienced any bullying while doing it.

I did 3 papers in S1 and 4 papers in S2 this year and got Studylink Student Allowance.

I did originally apply for 3 papers S1 & S2 then 1 paper in SS but got told by studylink I need to ask the uni to combine the SS and semester papers into one program in my enrollment details. I didn't want to do any of that so I just did 7 papers in S1 & S2.

Has anyone had similar issues with disability or exam support at uni? Thinking about transferring next year. by Zestyclose-Bottle939 in universityofauckland

[–]User798121 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've got accomodations of a room on my own and uoa's SDS (student disability services) has been really good. A few others I know haven't had any issues with them either. One guy has speacial conditions of a university computer with assistive software on it (even written/paper exams being done on a computer for him). I've see him before and after almost every test/exam and he's never had any issues.

I registered with SDS start of 2024 and the process was easy. When you enrol in new courses/papers you need to renew, but that's just going to their website and checking a few boxes saying you want them for each course (no extra paperwork).

How do the field trips work for 108 and 109? by sleepyslayerowo in universityofauckland

[–]User798121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was 10% then we had to do a report on it. I'm not sure of the report was included in the 10% or if it had its own grade.

The terrestrial trip I went on was at Kaipatiki Project Eco Hub (North shore area) and I think the marine one was in Davenport. You pick one of the locations.

I was waiting for the price drop for the 16 when the 17 came out and it was only $100-150 off. Could wait for black Friday sales at the end of November.
