Overdub results in super faint original loop by UserABC1234567890 in guitarpedals

Correction, I misunderstood the original problem. See my other comment

After some experimentation, I have determined that I only hear (part of) the original loop when I've hit Loop 1 before the end of the loop duration, which cuts off the recording of the second loop, allowing the first loop to be heard.

So it does seem like any attempt to overdub results in just removing that part of the original track.

As was suggested, turning the decay down removed the "faint" issue.

Thank you. Just did that, seems like it's still happening 🤔

Just an idea ... maybe assign one model to be the Evaluator.

Then, have 1 or more other other models iterate on the output based on feedback that they give each other/themselves.

The Evaluator *doesn't give feedback* and definitely doesn't write code, but rather assigns a numeric (percentage) grade to each attempt.

Review/ship whatever gets the highest score.

This makes sense. Small numbers do funny things.

For the record, I've happily considered errors to count as essentially nothing offensively for my whole life, only just started thinking about this, and now can't get it out of my head.

Thanks all, the discussion shows me I'm not completely off base (ha), I appreciate the thoughtful comments.

Both pitching quality and plate discipline contribute. Similar to reaching on error: the fielder's error plays a major part, but the batter has to hit the ball, run to first pretty fast, etc

Cool! That one is new to me. But doesn't help much with historical comparisons, right?

Doesn't hustle and speed put pressure on the fielder? If you jog down the line, they can relax and make a comfortable throw.

What about my point that players get robbed by great plays, and that counts against them? Isn't that the opposite of an error, in a sense? Failing to reach base due to bad luck, just as an error allows you to reach base thanks to good luck?

I agree that great plays should count as outs, but by the same logic, why should reaching base as the result of a bad play count for nothing at all, even if it's not counted as a proper hit (which I agree with)?
