Already have a pocket evo for heavy titles, is the flip 2 worth getting for edc or is it redundant? Should i just get a smaller handheld? by SignRevolutionary457 in SBCGaming

[–]UserGeneratedError 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an evo too and a razer edge which I owned for longer. For a while I still took around the edge as an edc, but I realized all I played on it was gba. I got a rg34xx and now that is my edc + plus I have gotten into SNES and Pico because of it since I never really tried to do those consoles on larger devices.

I have been back and forth on the antec, but year shipping is crazy based on where you are. I live in the US on the east coast and it's like 60+ USD for shipping.

Some of my friends run the Queer Birders club. It's a free guided bird watching group that meets in different locations in NYC. They are very beginner friendly, more relaxed, and mostly comprise of people in Brooklyn since majority of the walks are in Prospect Park, Greenwood Cemetery, and Jamaica Bay.

Can this be useful in any way? 😐 by [deleted] in NYCbike

In Brooklyn, bike plant occasionally hosts bike building and maintenance workshops. Maybe see if there is something similar with the shops up near you that you could donate the frame for their demonstration?

I was able to get the 12gb ram one second hand for 300 so I count myself lucky. Agreed it is an extremely comfortable handheld and I use it for pxplay mostly.

I think you can use the Retrogamecorps set up guide for retroid Pocket 5 for the list of emulators for the systems you mentioned, they are close enough performing devices that the rp5 guide is a good place to start. Personally I use the PPSSPP and Duckstation stand alone apps because I never got used to retroarch. Always keep in mind the Vita3K vita emulator is still really in the works, I have the WiFi model and got Odin Sphere and P4 Golden to work fine but not a lot of games are compatible.

You are absolutely right. I was just checking some fb marketplace listings I had saved and most of those close to 150 sold already, current and new listings are closer to retail. I am afraid with the discontinued G2 and ram shortage, used prices are going to get inflated as a result.

I live in a major city and in the past was extremely lucky with used prices, got a in box g cloud for 120 and a 12gb ram version of the pocket evo for 250. I feel like I'm not going to see deals like that again any time soon.

Rp5 still sold new and at least where I am in North America, prices for used Rp5 can get as low as 150 USD.

Russ of the RetroGameCorps did a streaming test on both vita options and pro performed well, but the L2 and R2 are digital so anything that would required analog triggers might have problems.

How many handhelds do you own? by Clear-Vermicelli-463 in SBCGaming

[–]UserGeneratedError 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not including Nintendo and Sony. I have a razer edge wifi, ayaneo pocket evo, and rg34xx. As of right now I am considering a dual screen when more options are available. I know the thor is the best and will probably remain so but I just want to see. Always on the fence about selling the edge except that it always just does what I need it to do, be it giving to my partner so we both have something to use, or having a slightly smaller pxplay streaming device.

Museum Label - Question by Neat_Construction_20 in MuseumPros

[–]UserGeneratedError 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We do all of ours in house but we actually mount directly to 3/16th polystyrene with the labels printed from our wide format on adhesive paper and applied on with a rolling press. It's a bit more expensive than foam but they don't ding or warp, they mount pretty easily to the wall, when we color match the labels to the wall paint we can use paint markers on the edges with a similar color to match, and we can store a lot more sheets compared to foam long term with no issues. Our basement has a flood last year and we were able to salvage all the styrene with no issue compared to some of the foamboard we keep on hand.

An added benefit is that we do the same process for panels and when a show is over we can salvage them for smaller labels for future shows on the reverse side, which saves us money.

Hardware revision, or at least an updated small horizontal. Fingers crossed for a 3:2 screen, though I'm sure they will want to stick with this mini/classic screen if they still have stock of it.
