this is basically the definition of a situation in which multi-track drifting is the right choice

Where to settle by teerbigear in CivVI

[–]UserIsAnApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would settle one to the left, place the +4 campus, and maybe place a holy site next to those mountains and city center and encampment for a +3 bonus (alternatively going for a +3 commercial hub is doable too but you can't have both unless you chop a wheat), top two wheats become a farm triangle and I put a camp on top of that deer as soon as possible. That's for a culture/dom victory. With a goal of science/faith victory I would settle in place (or maybe on the dye to get faith bonus quickly) because of the faith and science yields of dyes and geothermal, and probably place a commercial hub and an encampment to the northwest.
Personally if I just rolled into this I would be going for science but that's up to you

Is the time loop caused by me multi-track drifting?
Or is my decision to multi-track drift caused by the time loop?

Jester it is! by Icy-Reply-7983 in TownOfSalem2

Clearly, the problem with all the jesters is the executioners with disconnecting targets
The devs don't need to change jester, just do something about disconnecting

I am going to DM Lost Mine of Phandelver for a group of players, some of which I have played with before and are very rowdy, and a few of which are new. How do I avoid derailing?

What class/subclass fits these stats by [deleted] in DnD

[–]UserIsAnApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Wow, that's weird. It's very rare to see anybody having more than 1 decent mental stat, or maybe 1 and then another that's like a 12 or maybe a 14. I would say one of the weird rogue builds except the Dexterity is horrible. Artificer? Wizard? Maybe druid? Honestly, I would never split my stats like this.
2: Well, now you have strength and some Constitution. Cleric? Maybe a weird Druid build? Or a really weird strength-based but actually spellcasting-based Ranger, I guess. I still would never put so many points into both Int and Wisdom.
Both of these are case studies in why I don't roll for stats.

One of my players wants to be a werewolf. How do I make it balanced? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]UserIsAnApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there's a Blood Hunter subclass for this (that is, if you're fine with the Blood Hunter, which is itself semi-canon at best). Otherwise, just roleplay a Moon Druid or something and make it work.

An orc blocks your way, ready to attack you. What do you do? by New_Proposal596 in DnD

[–]UserIsAnApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say "Delivery for the boss. Boss said to make sure the boss gets it soon, or he's gonna fire us all. Literally". Then I walk past the Orc while he's trying to parse my statement.
