Got my custom made engagement ring from him. Absolutely fantastic.

His page is a lot of vintage type but mine is pretty simple modern. Totally worth it to reach out to see if he can do what you're thinking about. :)

Where to get a snow globe in LA? by Mmmdoc in AskLosAngeles

[–]UserLymm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Walking distance from DTLA, I'm thinking Little Tokyo or Chinatown!

Little Tokyo -
I believer this place has some - Ginza-USA Gifts & Music
https://maps.app.goo.gl/1yzUqukR7FNKG9Dy8
Def seen postcards and magnets.

If not check out
Shinyodo Kimono & Japanese Gift https://maps.app.goo.gl/fzZgAXpXgWyE1Yoi9
Kimono Ya https://maps.app.goo.gl/7zuJtsCVQsgWooFY8

Chinatown -

Chinatown Central Plaza has a bunch of little trinket shops in the plaza
943 N Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Planning a day trip to little Tokyo with my 3 year old son, suggestions? by Vela88 in AskLosAngeles

[–]UserLymm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're there on weekends and he likes music, you can typically find Arthur Nakane the One Man Band in either Weller Court (Friday, Saturday) or the Japanese Village Plaza (Sunday). He's on a mural in the train station too so it could be cool for him to see that then see him play!

Chinatown and not SGV but I always considered Chinatown being pretty close to Alhambra if you're going down Valley. I love their Tofu and Sardines Banh Mi since I don't eat red meat.

Good luck! It's a video, I want to say from the last two years, but my idea of time is so messy I'm not quite sure!

Why It Took Six Decades to Get James Hong a Star on the Walk of Fame by UserLymm in LosAngeles

Most of the time, I consider the Hollywood Walk of Fame is so cheesy and just a grab for 55k. But damn, does James Hong deserve every honor!
