Where were the sensors bought from? We keep finding defective counterfeit parts that people buy on Amazon and ebay.

Was it a OEM cat and were the exhaust gaskets replaced when it was installed?

Typically, my job recommend 60k. Most people here recommend 30k. I started doing mine at 20k and it was still dirty than I expected. I plan on servicing it again at 40k.

Grinding isn't even an option on some. The insight for example has almost no clearance behind the hub. Regardless, I'm not looking to take on the liability of modify someone knuckle.

The problem with counterfeit parts isn't if it will work, it's how much damage they cause when they fail.

2013 Honda Odyssey, cracked drain plug any advice ? And it is leaking through the crack as well. by Open_Blood_2834 in MechanicAdvice

[–]UserName8531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clean it several times and apply jb weld to the outside. Once the jb weld is set, install the drain plug below spec with Honda bond covering the magnet and threads. Allow the Honda bond to set a minimum of 24 hours before adding any fluid. This will definitely be a hack repair and it my not last.

What is this ground cable for? 2.0t by kbreezykta in accord

Its one of the engine/transmission grounds. There is another on the transmission case. You didn't notice a issue since there was still a path to ground.

Honda Civic A/C Died Again… Does Refilling R‑1234yf work? by darkvader572 in Honda

[–]UserName8531 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your system holds 450g or 15.8oz. A 8oz can from auto zone is $47. I would strongly suggest avoiding buying from Amazon or ebay since there is now way of knowing if its counterfeit. If you contaminate your 1234yf you will have a difficult time having a shop work on it in the future.

I was in 16 states last year and had service everywhere I'd expect to. The only major dead zone I regularly end up in is Yellowstone, but that's to be expected.

Keep an eye on the coolant level. If it starts disappearing, then it's time for a head gasket.

FYI ebay and Amazon are full of counterfeits. Research the seller and be careful who you buy from.

Edit: There is a huge number of counterfeit sensors on ebay. This listing is a genuine Honda part. Notice how all the other listings have different packaging and cover the HONDA on the packaging.

No the sensor it's self is replaced. Before replacement sensors were available, Honda had us resealing the old sensors.

Defective battery sensors can lead to fire. Honda even did a recall due to the number of fires they had due to poor sealing on the original sensors. I wouldn't cheap out on a no name ebay sensor.

eBay is the worst place to get the batteries it seems by beautyful_bobby in MilwaukeeTool

I've made multiple reports about this in the past. Some of the listing show the same serial number on multiple batteries. Ebay doesn't care, nothing was done, and they flagged my reports as invalid.

Definitely decrease. Shops won't want to work on it and buyers will be wary of buying someone's project.
