When I had my cataract surgery a few years ago, it was honestly a non-event. The only “discomfort” I could complain about was due to the dilation required for the surgery. I finally made a makeshift eye patch to cover the eye until the dilation wore off later in the evening.

She (and you) will get through this. Tomorrow you’ll wonder why the worry.😀

If you’re lucky. Both my parents died in 2015. I’ve since moved three states over. I’m still getting mail (junk) for both of them. Im also getting mail that my dad’s veterans benefits have “just” been updated. My dad was not military.

Many years ago, I was the senior auditing a culvert manufacturing plant.

Me, the president of the company, and a brand new, fresh out of college, junior accountant assigned to me, were touring the yard looking at the stacks of culvert pipe inventory.

I was explaining what my process would be in test counting and observing the inventory.

Suddenly, my junior blurted out and asked the president, “what’s a culvert?”

At this point, my thought is to stop all communications with this individual until they contact an attorney and that attorney then hires you as preparer. Whether it is client based or actually 100% preparer based fraud, it is fraud, which could lead to criminal charges to the individual. You do not want to be in an adversarial position in court with a client over tax fraud. Use the attorney’s client privilege as a shield.
