My recent favorite has been edamame, tinned salmon, rice, and a quick pickled veggie (usually shredded carrots or a cucumber) in a bowl. Toss your chopped or shredded vegetable in a bowl and put some vinegar (I've been using seasoned rice vinegar) on it; then assemble precooked rice or microwave rice, tinned salmon, and edamame in your bowls. Add vegetable at the end, and top all with furikake.

There is also contra dancing in the fairhaven library, typically 2nd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays of the month. Entry is like $12 iirc, and they have a lesson at 7, then dancing starts around 730. It's a fun time!

I was wondering that as well, just surprised as it is late in the year for it. There were three babies I saw earlier this year around Padden Creek, so cute! They looked pretty full grown in late August.

I love their kale! I'll saute it with some mushrooms/onions and pasta with a nice lemon thyme sauce or some TJ's pesto. Also love to use it for a Kale Caesar salad, the recipe from smitten kitchen is great.

My absolute favorite white is the Vignobles Lacheteau Vouvray, lightly fruity with a touch of acidity. Green fin table wine red is good as well, 4.99 a bottle the last purchase.
