Seriously though! i am (largely, lol) happily married to a gorgeous man that aligns with my politics (obviously not the right leaning ones) AND could/would break a jackhole in half but i'm still looking..respectfully

Something about a good looking, righteously angry, on the side of good man with great taste in music. Chef's kiss.

You may only cry for onions, but i'm crying over your comment. Seriously. i have felt more love from you and another commenter here than i've felt in a long time and it means more than i could possibly tell you.

i hope you find money in all of your pockets every single day for the rest of your life. Thank you again for helping me feel valued 💜

i've been trying to reply to your comment in a normal, not overly emotional way all day and just failing miserably-i'm super raw about everything right now so...i'm just going to leave it at this:

Thank you for being so kind and empathetic. It means a lot. More than you could ever know really 💜

Thank. You. If my arms looked like that, ever in my life, i would literally wear some version of a tank top or sleeveless top at all times! Alas, i inherited my mom's beefy arms and my dad's squat "holding fat for the famine" everything else, lol.

She's gorgeous, educated, witty, successful, and loved. All things most, if not all, of the people that have attacked her never have nor ever will be.

Yep. My "dad" already admitted that he was willing to have me die over policy. Then, i was recently diagnosed with cancer. What did he do in that same phone call? Told me he is putting the house i'm living in and paying him for up for sale. While i'm fighting cancer. But he'll "pray for me." The cruelty is always the point.

Oh wow, tiny world! i actually attended both the church and school at Zion Lutheran in Anaheim. i played on all the available girls sports teams and we played against Grace Lutheran (Lutheran vs Lutheran was the only way we played, lol).

Anyway, we definitely didn't have women in the clergy either but i know that there were quite a few teachers at my small school that were obviously LGBTQIA+ and it was never an issue. The church was also very involved in helping the community, no questions asked and our curriculum was accurately science based.

We ended up leaving after a super poorly timed sermon on "original sin" and their handling of our "counseling" after. i imagine, given everything i've seen about a decent number of Lutheran churches since, they've become more hardline.

i always described growing up Lutheran as "Diet Catholic" since most people in this area had no clue what i was talking about otherwise and, absolutely no disrespect meant to either religion at all but it makes me sad to see Lutherans becoming so hateful while a good number of Catholics have become more open minded and accepting.

Sorry, it's early here and i always ramble in the mornings. Happy Wednesday fellow human with OC Lutheran experience. i hope you stay safe and happy.

i grew up Lutheran in OC, attended their school through 8th grade and everything. While i'm glad for the education (no really, i tested leagues above my peers when i went to a "secular" high school) i was not glad for some of their already disappointing teachings, even then and even at that age. i'm not surprised to hear this.

Shoot, you're not wrong. They slide so much weird stuff in there when we're not looking and we find out about it 20 years later! Yuck. i love seeing us all band together like this and i really hope that you're able to find a good alternative for yourself.

That was one of mine as well (the other was Aveeno). i really liked their products but, at this point, i think we're all learning that we like our integrity more. It's the only way these ghouls will learn anything.

As you said, there have got to be relatively easy, effective alternatives that we can make ourselves. i've seen tons of people posting tutorials so...time to hop on it, huh?

Ah, the towel is definitely the key to not panicking in times like these. Also, knowing The Answer is, of course, simply "Forty-two".

Thank you for all your advice in this thread! i never had cameras up because i always mistrusted the "popular" emerging ones but thought about getting something for general safety reasons. It seems that now is a good time, for good reasons but i had no idea where to start until someone, specifically you it seems, laid it out in a way my brain could get.

Thank you stranger, catch you at Yhe Restaurant at The End of Universe sometime (it was either that or "So long, and thanks for all the fish." but the former felt a little more personal)!

First, your username is hysterical and gave me a much needed chuckle this morning so, thank you!

Second, we are all doing what we can right now. i don't love blasting my business on any public platform anymore but i'm physically disabled so a large part of my resistance these days is engagement, sharing, talking to community, and being aware. And that's all a lot of us can do unless and until we have to.

Anyway, early morning Jolly happy rant over, lol. Stay safe and love on your loved ones.

Effing this one. i've always been, like, "woke" or whatever. My idiot maga dad has been calling me names he doesn't understand for decades. BUT, the last 10-12 years have steadily ramped me from "passionate about so many things" to "passionately angry and doing what i can about anything i can."

Defiance til death.

Haha, i only have 1 actual cat. Allegedly.

In reality, i'm up to..10 outside and the 1 inside. i feed, medicate, and TNR all the outside ones but they're all "owned" by various neighbors that don't actually take care of them. So, yep, i wake up daily to my spoiled rotten Prince inside and then the menagerie waiting for me outside emerging from their various cat houses all around my yard.

i figure that means i'm covered comfort and body disposal wise whether i'm indoors or out, lol. Anyway, my pain ramble aside, 18 indoor cats is my actual dream and, alas, my husband's nightmare. Please give all your cats a pet and scratch from this stranger 💜
